Well practicality has to do with ability to function in the world. Camus shows a way to function in the world based on his idea that existence is absurd. Very true... you are quite bright. I applaude you. |

Well he started off as a metaphysical philosopher, although he might now be classified as an absurdist he is still a powerful figure in metaphysical philosophy as his inital views on the focus on the individual human being, responsible before the universe for the authenticity of his or her existence makes him a metaphysist, just an absurd one. Hmmm Well most of his philosophy tends to direct individuals to embrace the absurdity and nothingness of their being... thats practical, though saying its practical is a little ironic, but like Sartre he tried to find a way for humans to take Heideggers idea of understanding the ontological being by how to put it into practice. So it comes from metaphysics but isnt metaphysical Ha ha ha practical absurdity! My prof. would kill me if I said that to his face. But as I said I'm a more logical person so absurdist views on the rational world screws with my head anyway. But for the sake of arguement: In that context you could also say that Idealists are also metaphysists because they reason that the insights of the mind of the outside world explain the mind itself, so that too is metaphysical (sort of) without being from that school of thought... |

Oh Oh Oh I like Charles Peirce and William James, even though their views on truth based purely on principle and situation were overly simplistic they also blended the earlier views of Philosophical thought with scientific insight... I'm a very logical person so this form of philosophy is easier to understand rather than the metaphysical thoughts of those like Albert Camus, but I am reading his newest book hopefully it'll make more sense than his articles, because I'll be the first one to tell you I understand where he's coming from but how he gets from one point of the ethics of society to something about the divine guiding supertruth throws me...

It was Charlie Chaplin that said "Why does poetry have to make sense?" I agree whole heartedly, poetry is an abstract interpretation of ones innermost feelings and aspirations, thoughts have no concrete being so their prose should be pure like their subject. But sometimes someone will post a lame poem, the same old “Moonlight and puppy dogs” crap that kills me, nothing abstract or expressive but writing for the approval of those reading it. but who am I to say what is and isn’t poetry, I can only write my own lame poetry and hope to read some good emotive raw poetry.

I've found it that females enjoy expressive prose, if you can put into words your feelings of insecurity or your thoughts of incompetence that they might forgive your shortcomings if you can admit that you are human, that you aren't confident and that you would like to get to know her better.
"I am not a confident man but rather a child, yet I am a curious observer of beauty. The very thought of approaching you muddles my mind and weakens my voice, words clog my throat and I find it difficult to speak. Yet I find it impossible keep you at an arms length, I'd face certian rejection and humiliation for the chance to get to know you, even if for a moment." That might work Heels... you never know. |

I have Granola bars with my lunch. Breakfast is usually cream of wheat, oatmeal or some grain cerial. Lunch is either a sandwich or salad with crutons. dinner is what ever people cook. I usually only wake up once during the night but with this kitten in the house until Monday its like every hour ![]() I drink 3 or 4 33oz water bottles a day. Also drink a lot of tea (no sugar) , and non fat milk. I also take vitamines each day but mainly just garlic for my heart, iron and Vit C. =) You sleeping habits sound normal, your diet is sound, and your workout is good... Hmmm tis quite a quandry... sounds to me like Rtaylor74 might be right... |

I rotate the fruit each week. This week its Pears. last week, Plums. My breakfast is around 7 - 7:30am when i get back from my run. Snack is at 10. Lunch is between 11 - 1 depending on when i get to take my lunch break (Where I work lunch breaks aren't set) Afternoon snack is usualy at 3, dinner is at 6 and i try not to eat after 7:30 that way i don't go to bed on a full stomach. if i HAVE to have something later than that it will generaly be some carrots or celery. Well the fruit sounds reasonable, do you get enough grains, or do you just eat fruit? and what about the sleeping, do you wake up excessively tired? Do you wake up many times during the night... |

I usualy go to bed between 8 - 9pm. that way i can be up at 5 - 5:30am to i can get my run in before work. Maybe its not the amount of sleep you get but the amount of recuperative sleep you get, do you wake up alot during the night, are you anxious before going to bed, eating fruit might not be a good idea before bed, maybe a light sandwich and yogurt for dinner to avoid the excess energy from fruit while you sleep, by the way what kind of fruit do you eat? |
