A true friend is one that offers their advice when asked does not quickly find fault in your decisions and is there to help dust you off when you fall.

Lets see, today was hectic, ran an errand, picked up chinese food for dinner and a movie. Took a nap. Pretty much accomplished nothing. Time out day for me.

Here is one that even the most kitchen challenged ape can get right. Crock pot, 2 cups water, a beef roast 3 lb, a packet of italian seasoning, a packet of brown gravy mix, and a packet of ranch dressing mix. Put in water, meat and open all three packets and dump on top....put on lid. Cook for 10 hours on low. A green salad and potatoes and some corn.... your done and she will be impressed.

This summer my Dad was rushed into the ER, and my two teenagers and I drive 20 hours straight through from Omaha to South Carolina Med. center. I had to explain to the kids that we were 10 minutes late and would not get the chance to say goodbye to Papa. He had slipped into a coma from internal bleeding that they could not stop and everything failed. He died 48 hours later.

Been there with an ex...and kicking her mixed up tail out was the best course of action. You open that door again or even a window and you are back in the same boat as before you broke it off with her. Painful, but necessary.

I hate to say it but when you marry someone, you marry their family as well. If they don't like you for whatever reason. Cut your losses and move on in life. There isn't much of a chance that you will change their minds about you and living your life with him while you walk on egg-shells, isn't much of a life.
