As the eye of heaven dips deep in the sky
I stand facing west with a tear in my eye,
It’s deep orange beams cast one final wave
and right there & then,
in the same light we bathe.

However, as is with its daily chore,
on Its anticlockwise journey it still must endure.

During a magnificent glow, a celestial blush
I reach forth my heart, almost unheard, just a hush,
to grant me a deed on Its west-worldly rush
to connect me and you with the warmth of its touch.

So with the cloak of darkness and the flow of the night
does beg the Suns grace for the ebb of Its light.
I have asked its last light, its very best ray
to shine down on you as it passes your way.

Through dusk until dawn I’ll be your
nights Knight,
my torch of endearment will burn evils plight.
My Sleeping Beauty has now awoke
to the morning song of the birds,
a soft chorus is spoke

Your guardian will rest now, tired and worn
I’ll be there forever, to you I am sworn
