I had a powercut

chris@dojo:~$ uname -a
Linux dojo.********.co.uk 2.6.18-5-686 #1 SMP Mon Dec 24 16:41:07 UTC 2007 i686 GNU/Linux
chris@dojo:~$ uptime
17:44:14 up 39 days, 5:11, 1 user, load average: 0.00, 0.00, 0.00
chris@dojo:~$

Bummer. Why aren't you using a UPS? Better question, aren't you concerned of the havoc it will cause your hard drive partitions when it improperly dismounts from a power loss?

You are not a failure because you didn't make it. You are a success because you tried.

But it would be wrong for the many to coerce the few, justifying based on "greater need".

That is like an A++++ statement! WTG! glasses

I feel for you, whisper. It can be indeed, frustrating. I remember seeing a news article on Google a couple of weeks ago about a lady in Maryland who bought a laptop from BestBuy and had a service issue with her laptop.

Talk about your incompetent service, they were giving her the run around for weeks on end telling her that her laptop wasn't ready until finally they admitted to her that they lost it.

She is now suing them because of all of the sensitive data that was contained on her hard drive could be easily used for identify theft type of crimes.

What I found really hilarious was the compensation that was initially offered for her troubles by the store. What a joke!

I'd love to have my own machine shop business.

Job that I have now? Somewhat, but it's not mine.

My dad owned his for over 30 years....retiring this year.

Oh man, Goof! That is too awesome! Are you going to follow in your father's footsteps? Is he planning to give the business to you?

I agree and accept it as an axiom, because it's logical and Mr. Spock said so.

When I shop for groceries I buy a mixture of both generic and name brands.

If the supermarket that you shop at has some kind of membership club (i.e., Vons, Ralphs, etc.) it's definitely worth the trouble to join and it's FREE. They always have specials on both name brand and generic products where you can save money.

Chef Chris:

I'm a big fan of "over-easy" eggs. I used to work in a restaurant where I saw the cooks use a small frying pan just big enough to fit 2 eggs. And instead of using a spatula, they would lift the pan off the stove and flick their wrist and the eggs would basically somersault through the air and turn over on their own like pancakes. This method seems to make them perfect everytime.

Questions:

1. Do you have any ideas/suggestions on how I can practice this without wasting so many eggs?

2. What is the best temperature to cook them that way?
