My heart is as black as the ink I use to write with.
My soul is stained like the paper subject to my pen.
In my mind I am perfect.
But if I venture too far from my thoughts my confidence starts wither away.
I am the dark poet.
The man everyone admires.
But the man no one wants to be.
People read my writings and nod their heads in agreement as they relate to what I have to say.
But in the end, no one wants to be me or the fiend that I have become.
My whole world is dark for I write the world's truths down with my pen.
This is the sole reason why no one wants to be me.
With my darkness I bring to light that which no one will offer; that which no one will accept.
I am a necessity.
I am a nuisance.
I am truth.
And I am the reflection of your lies.
I act as a conscience.
Not an angel or a devil.
I am unbiased, forever embraced by the darkness which you create.
I am apart of each and everyone of you.
I reside in your image.
I am the heart of your shadow.
I am the dark poet.

I look to the skies
As my body falls limp
My limbs feel numb
My brow feels heavy.

I am about to pass out
As I hear someone calling
Where are you going
Your work has yet to finish.

My eyes take to the skies once more
How I dream to be as free at the birds
How I wish I could be as light as a cloud
I wish to escape my prison.

But as I keep on looking
I realize something crucial
The birds are not chirping so freely anymore
and the cloud is subject to the wind's current.

I get back on my feet
Pushing through another long day
Hoping, just waiting
Until the day that I am released from my prison.

dude I just saw them too! if you want that feeling of anticipation you can always check out the manga strips. The guys who post on youtube do a good job with the suspensful music and scene play. sometimes it feels like watching a full on episode. Check it out.
