Then I advise you not to put yourself in that situation because YOU may
be the regretful one. DO NOT underestimate a woman.

I'm an insurance broker and I know when people try to hide whatever they
want to hide is considered fraud. Fraud is illegal, so, slick - go back
to your shameless hole

Slick, she had every right to do what she did as every person has a
right to defend themselves. I have a friend that lived from shelter to
shelter with her son to hopefully avoid being killed by her husband.
Unless you've been there, please don't post an opinion.

RN, don't listen to them. I understand what you are taking about. I
too have found that many people are not honest; but, it isn't just men.
You've had some bad experiences as have I. Even the man I was married
to for almost 25 years turned out to be a liar and cheat.

I think we all have our expectations that we believe will materialize in
our relationships and when it doesn't happen, we look for someone to
blame. Take things slowly; there's a good person out there for you

WOW! There are more of us out there than I realized. I too was abused,
but it was more of the verbal/emotional/controlling abuse. He was
obsessive/compulsive and a real control freak. Before we divorced
(after 23 yrs of marriage) I was seriously considering taking my son and
going to a shelter; I was very frightened by him. Well, just after our
divorce, he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and passed away a year
later. I do believe that God has plans for his abusers.

God bless you all flowerforyou

I am cognizant of relationships here. I have read many threads and
enjoy so many of them. But I find it hard to break into this ring of
friendship. I will post a response or even pose a question, but I feel
I'm invisible.

Morena, you're great and helped me out of a jam my first day here . . .
thanks Lady!flowerforyou

He is head over heels for me; I need to take it slow. My son's dad died
just over 4 yrs ago. I still have some healing to do.
