I'm not shy. I don't do shy, I don't understand shy, and I don't relate to shy. I'm not laid back, I don't want a laid back guy looking to have fun, and in my opinion guys who describe themselves as laid back are lazy and apathetic, passionless about life. They usually have jobs, not careers, and loathe what they do. They don't vote or cook. I'm outspoken and assertive and I adore laughing and learning. I want the same in my potential partner. I'm thrilled to be in that 15%. You're right! Except for the cook and loathe part... Guys gotta eat, right? |

Why do all the women's profiles claim to be looking for the same thing..."honest, loving, sincere, loyal, sense of humor...blah, blah, blah..." but most wouldn't recognize it if they tripped over it in broad daylight. Maybe it's the men who think they're those things and aren't? Sounds like maybe you've been made a lot of false promises before... I guess I don't blame your reply to hunky62... But I do agree with him... I know exactly what he means... |

Other lines that seem to pop up a lot. Great... It's so funny... Anyhow, I still think overall that people don't just blurt anything out to any stranger, until they talk to them for a bit. It depends I guess... but still... like I'm one to blurt things out to a perfect stranger... don't get me wrong I don't want to sound obnoxious or any thing... I just mean that I feel I can pretty much say anything about myself... In other words I'm pretty open... I hope I made some SENSE... |

I've notice that about 85% of all the women profiles on this site say this very same line. "I'm shy at first but I open up when you get to know me." Whats up with that? Doesn't that apply to everyone? Well, at least most people. It's like saying "Hi, I breath air to live." We all know that. So why even mention something like that?

I just moved to Hartford CT on the 8th of November. Since then I've just been looking for work. So far I landed a brief job, but it only lasted 2 days. Bogus, right? Well, it's actually from a Job Agency kind of thing. What they do is they place you in a job to check it for a day or two and then eventually they place you in one permanently. On top of that, any other place I've applied far doesn't have any positions or has failed to notify me so far. Anyhow, in the mean time I was just looking for someone to get acquainted with during those waiting periods. I just moved out here so I don't really know any people. Any takers? How about you?
