everyone has the right to express their opinions in this country...rrriiiggghhhhhttttt? not if the opinion police get their way. I really did appreciate one thing espedially about bill clinton, His choice of opening songs at the inaugural ball. anyone remember what that was?

it was by Fleetwood Mac...."Don't Stop" .....perhaps Stevie was referring to something she and billy boy had in common....cocaine!  well....at least it was his campaign theme....which makes it worse.....

Answer: Perhaps the best indication that God does have a sense of humor is that He created man in His image (Genesis 1:27), and certainly people are able to perceive and express humor. The American Heritage Dictionary defines a “sense of humor” as “...The ability to perceive, enjoy, or express what is comical or funny.” According to this definition, then, God must show an ability to perceive, enjoy, or express what is comical. The difficulty is that people perceive what is comical differently, and what sinful man perceives as funny would not amuse a holy and perfect God. Much of what the world calls humor is not funny but is crass and crude and should have no part in a Christian’s life (Colossians 3:8). Other humor is expressed at the expense of others (tearing down rather than building up), again something contrary to God’s Word (Colossians 4:6; Ephesians 4:29).

An example of God's humor is the instance in which the Israelites were using the Ark of the Covenant like a good-luck charm in taking it to battle, and the Philistines ended up capturing it and placing it in their temple before their idol of Dagon. They came into the temple the next day and found Dagon flat on his face before the ark. They set him back up. The next morning, there he was again, but this time he had his hands and head cut off as a symbol of his powerlessness before the God of the ark (1 Samuel 5:1-5). God’s putting Dagon in a position of submission to His ark is a comical picture.

This incident is an example of God laughing at the foolishness of those who would oppose Him. “See what they spew from their mouths— they spew out swords from their lips, and they say, ‘Who can hear us?’ But you, O LORD, laugh at them; you scoff at all those nations” (Psalm 59:7-9). Psalm 2 also reveals God laughing at those who would rebel against His kingship (verse 4). It is like the comical picture of a kindergarten-aged child being upset at his parents and running away from home...all the way to his neighbor’s house. But there is obviously a serious side to this as well, and although the picture of weak and silly man trying to match wits with an almighty and all-knowing God is comical, God takes no delight in their waywardness and its consequences but rather desires to see them turn around (Ezekiel 33:11; Matthew 23:37-38).

A person does not crack jokes in the presence of one who has just lost a close loved one; silly jokes are out of place on such occasions. In the same way, God is focused on the lost and is looking for those who will care for their souls as He does. That is why our lives (while having times of refreshing and humor) are to be characterized by “soberness” (seriousness about making our lives count for Christ) (1 Thessalonians 5:6,8; Titus 2:2,6).

Very good Martymark, you have the way with words and thoughts and feelings. smile2
tongue's mode bro, I can't take credit for it, but thanks for the praise, I'll pass it right along, I know where it belongsbigsmile
.
.How can I say thanks for the things
You have done for me?
Things so undeserved yet you gave
To prove your love for me
The voices of a million angels
Could not express my gratitude
All that I am, and ever hope to be
I owe it all to thee

To god be the glory, to god be the glory
To god be the glory for the things he has done
With his blood he has saved me
With his power he has raised me
To god be the glory for the things he has done
Just let me live my life and
Let it be pleasing lord to thee
And if I gain any praise, let it go to calvary
With his blood he has saved me
With his power he has rasied me
To god be the glory for the things he has done

to grocery shop at walmart...most food products are american made.

its everything else we should boycott, not jsut walmart.

best buy. kohls. cirfcuit city. meijers. victoria secrets:cry: macys sears probably even home depot.
yup

Well, Victoria's Secret more than anything. They make American women look like sluts!

Excuse me?I wear my undies under my clothes and i see nothing wrong with a little lacy something.Looking sexy does not equate with slut.

Exactly! You don't take off your clothing and parade up and down a runway in your lacy little somethings. On TV! In prime time. Wearing Angel wings! (What does this tell those who think Americans are absolutely Godless heathens?)

I've known many young male Arab students who actually believed that those lacy little somethings were going to be lined up waiting for them, on blonde prostitutes, as they stepped off the plane in every American airport.

Victoria's Secret, and their customers, can have their lacy little somethings as long as they keep their (softcore) pornography out of my face.

Do you have children? Do you enjoy it when they walk down the mall and see huge photos of the kind they have in the windows of the VS store?

So are they just evil cause they are lace?
Because if they were wearing bikinis in those posters it would be covering just as much.. do you stay clear from the beach also?

And it's not Victoria Secrets fault that some Arab kid watches a TV program and thinks a WHOLE COUNTRY and all the people in it are that way...

*sigh*
the evil ones are the few at the top who keep propagating this lie that nudity is sexual, it is not. Man decided to cover themselves up for some reason, probably not a good one. "Oh Adam,,go and fetch me some of those apples, and I'll move the fig leaves".

And now the end is near
So I face the final curtain
My friend, Ill say it clear
Ill state my case of which Im certain

Ive lived a life thats full
Ive traveled each and every highway
And more, much more than this
I did it my way

Regrets, Ive had a few
But then again, too few to mention
I did what I had to do
And saw it through without exception

I planned each charted course
Each careful step along the byway
Oh, and more, much more than this
I did it my way

Yes, there were times, Im sure you know
When I bit off more than I could chew
But through it all when there was doubt
I ate it up and spit it out
I faced it all and I stood tall
And did it my way

Ive loved, Ive laughed and cried
Ive had my fails, my share of losing
And now as tears subside
I find it all so amusing
To think I did all that
And may I say, not in a shy way
Oh, no, no not me
I did it my way

For what is a man, what has he got
If not himself, then he has not
To say the words he truly feels
And not the words he would reveal
The record shows I took the blows
And did it my way
The record shows I took the blows
And did it my way

Sharp, with all respect I say this sir. The world does not end when Christ returns, "time" ends! love ya man, MM:wink:

Really?

Well some say that "time as we know it" ends on December 21, 2012.

So if Christ is going to come back, it should be then.

Now how would one describe "Christ?"

For me, "Christ" is a state of consciousness, not a personality.

Christ comes back anytime you wish, back into your heart and way of thinking, just ask, he will.

That is not what I am talking about. I don't believe that "Christ" is a personality with a gender. I believe it is a state of consciousness that involves divine love and compassion.

Make no mistake, Christ's spirit will appear in physical form again. He may already be hear and we have just not recognized it yet. That could be because No one one the planet wants to be the one to expose his identity after what happened to him the first time he was here. There will come a time when He will make his presence known to all. It will be a earth changing event. There have been many false Christ's show up. Koresh, Jim Jones, and many many others, we will know for a fact when the real deal shows. No one one the planet will be able to stop his teachings. They will spread so fast through the world, his message of truth will not be able to be stopped by any man with a killing device of any kind.

Perhaps then Christ will once and for all renounce Christianity for all its man-made laws and ideals.
He very well could, It has become nothing but a tool for a great many people to use for there own gain. Remember, the term "christian" or "Christianity" were not Christ's terms. They came after he was put to death by then the church/government. He would not do away with the idea of being a true christian, but there are very few people whom still practice this. It is important for us to understand that not all who are led astray are guilty of something. Most people just really do not understand what they are doing. Sad.

How do you know that you have not been "led astray"?
discernment!

Do you not think that every human exercises discernment?
no, not of the spirits

Martymark, What do you mean by "69 sweetness"?
what goes around comes around, the yin and the yan, karma, the seperation of the sheep and the goats, reap what you sow, there are so many expressions of its meaning I could go on, but for a long time, as usual, evil took this simple expression of something good to try and live by, (the golden rule), "do unto others as you would have them do unto you" and perverted it. things are not always as they appear on the surface, deceit is ingrained to such a level in todays world,,,OMG,,,where did deciet originate? care to guess?

Today I had some time alone and so did what I had been wanting to do for a while now, finally mustering all of my strength I claimed my life back and gave it to God all mighty. I Prayed and lay my burdens at Gods feet and I gave myself back to God, all though, I was always his, and he had been getting me back slowly. I Belong to God confirmed once and for all, I had had enough of messing around with other beliefs and ideas, finally I just couldn't stand it anymore. I knew who my father was no matter what I did. So I blessed my entire home and prayed with all my heart and gave it all back to God who needs me more than anyone else. I love God, I never stopped loving him. I will no longer let the spirits of depressions, hate, or any form of evil control my life. Yup, I back where I was suppose to be. Merry Christmas everyone! Hugsssssss Veronica, Oh and I will be leaving this site and devoting my life to God. Bye everyone, time to get to work hugsflowerforyou flowerforyou flowerforyou flowerforyou flowerforyou flowerforyou flowerforyou flowerforyou flowerforyou flowerforyou flowerforyou flowerforyou bigsmile bigsmile bigsmile bigsmile bigsmile bigsmile

Above all, listen and make a part of your soul what atlantis75 just said. it is paramount. It does not matter what you might think at any moment in time, it is the absolute truth. It does mattere how we act, so try to be nice to everyone, this does not mean become a fool with What God intrusts you with!

Good golly miss Molly, sure like to ball,
Good golly miss Molly, sure like to ball,
A-When you're rockin' and a rollin', can't hear your mama call.

From the early early mornin' to the early early night,
When I caught miss Molly rockin' at the house of blue lights,
Good golly miss Molly, sure like to ball,
A-When you're rockin' and a rollin', can't hear your mama call.

Mama, papa told me 'Son, you better watch your step',
If'n your Papa's Mama had to watch my Papa's step ,
Good golly miss Molly, sure like to ball,
A-When you're rockin' and a rollin', can't hear your mama call.

Ahhhhhhhh

(Music)

Good golly miss Molly, sure like to ball,
Whooo
Good golly miss Molly, sure like to ball,
A-When you're rockin' and a rollin', can't hear your mama call.

Goin' to the corner gonna buy a diamond ring,
When she hugs me and kiss me make me ting-a-ling-a-ling
Good golly miss Molly, sure like to ball,
A-When you're rockin' and a rollin', can't hear your mama call.

The Religious right is doing nothing wrong or unconstitutional or different than what the left wing liberals have done over the past years.....

The "religious right" as you put it, are simply standing up for what they believe in (which they/we have a right to do, it is our country too), just as the non-relgious left has done.....

Lindyy

the religious right will not be happy until they have everyone believe what they do and until public book burnnings are brought back.
yeppers, note that it is the "religious right" being talked about here and not people who actually try to do what teachers like Christ, amoungst others, taught! it is very important to maintain that distinction, anyone who can't do that should take a long hard look at the words "judge not, lest thou be judged"! luv ya all

i don't recall his "time is a myth" theory
but some of his others are superb....
to come up with that he must've been nuttier than a fruitcakelaugh

all right, I like fruitcake! yummy! The time thing is a relatively new thing the scientific community is looking into. It kinda of got a big boost of interest when they sent the probe out into space to have it test the validity of Emc2. Basically they slingshot-ed this probe off of the gravitational pull of planets to get it to approach the speed of light and see what happened to the theory of Emc2 as time started to distort. The end result was that Emc2 was not absolute, but is close enough.

So, now it's a crime to belong to a political organization that is engaged in legal actions?

That's okay?

People of all parties ought to be alarmed by that.

If the reasons this is wrong eludes someone well...I surely cannot explain it in this thread.

Let's just wait for the thought police to knock on the front door or the church's door.

Oh wait, it might not ever happen to a person who isn't thinking.
already has, and it won't be the last time, I don't like it, but I'd rather have that than watching plane fly into buildings, and firemen carrying dead children away from federal buildings. Like it or not, that is the world we live in. It is not an easy operation to prevent chaos. luv ya
