Not skin colour itself, I can actually appreciate that. But different skin colour also means different cultural background and that is a reason for concern.
And not because it means having something against that culture but because it can mean it isn't congruent with yours. Been there, done that, and we both were Caucasian but from different countries and thus cultural background. Was not easy while both were Western cultures let alone how difficult it can be with another one. This to me sounds like you are trying your best not to offend in the best way you can. Identifying people by race is done obviously by visual identification and using this as a reason to dislike what you see and make a broad judgement casting your opinion on all that look that way is racist as we all know. Using your vision to identify culture by colour is 1. a super power or 2. racist. I am happy you chose to enter this discussion, it shows the willingness to change. I hope. I think we all have our preconceived ideas of beauty or our taste. Think about the music I enjoy and how a song can move you in every way. Now imagine listening to one of those songs (heavy metal is my go to) on a day you need the comfort, support, bravery etc and someone walks in the room and insists it's nothing but noise and turns it off. Then asks if I'm a Satanist and hate everything. That person just showed me that to them everything fits into a box with a label. Heavy metal goes into a box that is hate and satanic and this is probably how the rest of his idea of how life can be judged. Don't fall into this and if this is how you were taught to think, do yourself a favour and stop yourself from this way interaction with people. Being African does not mean you a Brown or black person anymore. I'm African and white.Been a White person does not mean you American or European or pure evil. You also seem to think that no two cultures are compatible. This might cause you to have a few discussions about things that will enrich this relationship or find out your culture sucks and adopt or adapt a new one. I'm going on a lot so to close my point. YES colour does matter it's foolish to say otherwise. Should it??? NO. because judgement by colour is stupid and it's a stupidity that we have been taught by our in my case racist white people and I choose not to teach that crap to my kids. We can choose change and it starts with blue eyes. Everyone with blue eyes should be thrown in jail because dumb reasons. The last bit is a joke but now you can see how using colour to judge is F.. ING stupid. Love not hate exceptance of difference is our strength. Love you all and have a great day. First of all, she is allowed her preference. If you ain't into fat people - you ain't "fatphobic", if you ain't into transgender people - that doesn't make you "transphobic", and if you ain't into a certain culture - that doesn't make you racist. Everybody is discriminatory. It's how we as a species conduct ourself. Discrimination is not a bad word - it's the distinction for a person to make this decision or go with the other. We weigh the 2 decisions and discriminate which would be best for yourself. Has nothing to do with anything else. When it comes to culture, it makes a huge difference. You were correct when you say the color won't definitively let you know their culture - but she admitted to trying it out with another culture that was white. A white atheist may not be compatible with a white Catholic. Perhaps that's why it is a metric that is used on a profile. With color, you can make an assumption that is not needed as a marker on a profile. The person themselves may not identify with their assumed culture - but there may be a good chance that their family or community may be, and to make the decision not to risk immersing yourself into that culture is the same discrimination one makes whether that person should cross that busy road now, later or not at all. To suggest that people can convince each other to come to their culture is nanners. You have more chance of success with common ground. Can a pro-lifer be with an abortionist? Maybe, but highly unlikely. Values and morals are a part of the attraction between people. Looks only go so far. |

The point was dependency. The brain is like a muscle, and if you are letting AI think for you, you will be weaker than had you used your brain.
What are you remembering? Nothing new! The skills you possess were acquired long ago. Your grocery list is probably on you phone too! Convenience comes with a price |

Dammit~~ and all this started over my meme about butter my buns and call me a biscuit. Which Bottail responded to then Mo with the which I'm not sure but was to Bobtail's response.. which then he asked Mo if he was jealous..
First of all I'm the one that should have responded with if ya smack my buns I'll deck your arse..
But to ask for one to apologize when in the first place you were out of line...yea will not happen..We keep it clean in here. I should have thought twice about the meme..
All I can say is everyone needs to step back the Pub is to joke around, tell about your day, pitch in with things to do whatever.. We need to learn to bring others up not down.. All need to know that Women/Men are equal within our thoughts here.. We are not here to argue or cause issues.. Just to carry on a conversation .. If one can not keep it clean and be civil then yes they do need to move on.. Just saying lets chill tequila shots on the bar..
People that don't mind their own business, get what's coming to em. As far as the comment, I walked the line! You know that I was being playful, distasteful or not. If you had beef with it, we coulda worked it out - with a bubble bath for 2. I ignored Zee. She thinks because she started the thread, she has domain. If you were offended, I'll apologize. What I won't apologize or ignore, is a personal attack by the self appointed hall monitor or anyone |

The benefits to AI do not outweigh the risk.
People will lose the ability to think for themselves, in the same way we don't remember phone numbers like we did when we were kids. Relying on our phone to remember for us. Jobs will be replaced The arts will be corrupt And weirdos will be "in love" with their robots AI will guide people the way it was programmed to, and those eggheads that programmed it are just as fallible as anyone. I can't think of any benefit that cannot be replaced by regular, simple, human ingenuity. |

Jealous much?
Ditto on that. And people ask for ratings on blank profiles because they either are seeking an ego boost on their looks, or think that their looks alone will make grown men drool or young women drop their knickers. And old ones too. Stick to what you do best, hall monitor |
