As shltty as it is, it's expected and should be part of the pro's and cons when separating from the person you decided to procreate with.

Barring widowhood, there's way more reasons to work things out to stay together, than there are to put children at risk.

Your job now is to take care of your kids, WITH NO HELP. Intimacy should be way down on the list of shlt to do.

In one of his sketches Michael McIntyre said that men don't know what it means when their woman says "We've been together for some time now. You've got to be a bit more romantic!"

Is this true?

It kind of baffles me as if you don't know how the heck did you manage to get your woman in the first place?

No judgement, just interest & curiosity.
If your woman said that to you would you know what to do with it?

I'm not sure who Michael McIntyre or the context in which of what you speak, but I think there's a bit of tit for tat.

For men, often as a relationship progresses - sex every day goes to a couple times a week, then to once a month. Then to a couple times a year.

Women try harder in the beginning as well.... a guy that gets fellatio to get him going before getting it on, now gets someone there laying there like it's a chore. He maybe gets one on his birthday or Christmas.

I don't think there's a chicken and egg scenario here. Perhaps both issues are just that people become complacent as the years go by. I think it's a natural human condition to not appreciating what you got until it's gone and take things for granted

Any other options makes a person sound like an alcoholic.

Is a glass of wine with a meal drinking?

Vague terms likes this will lead to someone's expectations being let down

Any young man will take an older woman to bounce on

Very rare that it amounts to anything other than that.

You spanked your son in front of his girlfriend's kids??? Which means he's an adult???
Read that again, it was MY girlfriend. My son was probably about 8 at the time and my girlfriend's kids were like 7 and 5 as I recall.

Ah, okay, my apologies!
It was the middle of the night (half past 1) so my brain must've been half asleep and I misread your story.
I still don't agree with spanking your kids though, nor with the bit that parenting should come with a bit of fear.
That's the old model from the time when people didn't know any better and weren't informed about consequences of their action and so on.
And in the olden days people often had a short temper because they were overworked, too tired and so on. Flogging at school etc. was also normal in those days.
But then people often worked 12-14 hours a day, 6 days a week. Quite logical they don't have time to be considerate then. They were dead tired. For me that was the generation of my grand-parents.
Over here that all changed during my parents' generation and certainly mine.
I vaguely recall being spanked once or twice by my dad but that was already odd and considered not-done.
But could be things are different over there. Different countries & cultures, and laws.

You mean a time when kids actually learned respect?

You mean a time where kids were kids and not your "friends"?

You mean a time where kids were not equals and therefore didn't question authority?

You mean a time where "because I said so" was a legitimate argument that was respected by kids? They didn't like it, but they respected it because they knew what was coming next.

Sorry, too, GRB, never saw this ;-)

There is one other adjective that I now see
a lot = Chatter (and only that) for those
with no other objective ;-)

You had me!!! I looked it up to see if that was a thing.

It oughta be!

I'm also going to point out that when I see activity partner, it has the connotation of getting bounced on

Not sure if they are "the best"
The fact it is in 3-40 somethings might help.

Older men are more established which is an advantage for women. But they tend to be set in their ways, need pills to get hard, and are able to command the type of women they will receive - which they didn't have in their 20's; and therefore, harder to obtain for women of the same age because they can be more picky.

Like with anything, older men have their advantages and disadvantages. I'd be careful about using words like "the best". That'd be dependent on what you want.

never trust a woman who does not drink

Shouldn't that be the other way round? Makes more sense to me.
I btw rarely drink. Have noticed this seems to be a problem for many men. I guess they don't feel happy when they have to enjoy their beer themselves. As if it tastes any different if I'd drink one too.
Which isn't going to happen. Beer = puke!

Unless you meant not drink anything. That would indeed be very weird! Might indicate she's an alien scared

First of all..... Beer = Yum!!!! drinks

I don't think it's about it's about not feeling happy about if we "have to" enjoy our beers ourselves. I personally would rather drink beer with other men while watching a game. Maybe the cat wanted to bond with you in the same way dudes bond.

Drinking anything else with women I feel it's purpose is to loosen up. Often times, people are less reserved and you can kinda see who the person really is. Their guards are down, and there is the ability to connect on a more truthful level.

There is a problem when there's too much drinking, and the people can't handle their booze. Women can end up being blubbering fools and the men being a a mean jag off.

You need some good proper tea, not tea bags, and follow the tea ceremony allowing time for it to brew properly, and leave out the add on's, (milk, sugar, etc.) , just enjoy the tea. smile2

No!
