... First off, let me clarify that to be in a long distance relationship to me means that you have met in person but live in different cities that are a ways away. If you have to think about stopping at gas stations or getting on a plane to see each other then I would call that long distance. I do not consider just talking online to be a relationship, that is more of a pen-pal thing. ... To me, that seems to be a workable definition. My point, probably based on my early training in mathematics, is that you can't meaningfully discuss a subject until the other party clearly knows what you mean by saying something. With definitions out of the way, I don't think that a relationship can work unless you and the other person can regularly and easily meet face to face. |

... let's say two different countries. Still imprecise. Think of Liechtenstein, Monaco, San Marino, Vatican City ... You need to specify distance or time of travel. |

(rhetorical) This sir, is the 2nd time you've posted unwarranted and negative comments in this Pub.. I would kindly ask you to please refrain from doing so in the future. Might I reiterate the RULES that have been enforced since 2006: RULES (posted outside the front door) 1. no guns allowed (must holster and check in to gain entry)

... although I truly believe any insurance is a scam (money grab) ... The purpose of any business is to make money. If any company has less money coming in than it has going out, they will quickly become bankrupt. That said, unless you have enough money to meet any emergency (e.g., you are a billionaire), you need insurance to cover large and unexpected expenses. Furthermore, some insurance is required by law (e.g., cars). In the particular case of insurance, it's only a scam if they intentionally deny valid claims (i.e., they don't adhere to the contract between them and their customers). |

Has the problem been solved? Given the rules, as quoted by TxsGal3333, there is no problem to solve. Just follow the rules. If you don't like the rules, work to change them or resign from Mingle2. |

I want to change the language to Arabic Your request is ambiguous. If you're referring to your own messages or to the text in your profile: nothing prevents you from posting in Arabic. The problem with posting in Arabic (or any language other than English) is that doing so severely limits your audience. If you're asking to change the "official' language of Mingle2 to Arabic, I think that's never going to happen. After all, the number of people conversant in Arabic are many times fewer than the number of people conversant in English. In today's world, English is the closest and only approximation to a universal language. |
