Hello to all .. my friend told me about this site so I signed up and looked around .. and I came across "Lonely" and over 50 ..
and I read all of your post .. thanks I needed to read what others are thinking in our age group and those that are not.
I've been divorced for two and a half years. We had been together for 28. Sure the breaking up was hard, but to see my grown children sad that was the hardest of all. Happy to say they are both married now..
My ex remarried a year after he left, last year we had two weddings and the birth of a new baby.
Now the lonely had been setting in.
Everyone seems to have moved on.
I have tried other sites, dated a few.. but I feel like a newbie to this dating thing all over again. I don't understand what men seem to want, or understand when they say they want LTR, but then turn around and say they're only looking for some fun. Is this the New Fifty way of talking when you're single again?
This is a very lonely time.. and like one person said, I have my friends and family , but at the end of the day, and you go to bed ... that is the hard part.
I have my night outs with the girls, and those get togethers with family.
But it's just not the same as sitting next to that one person.. I'm new so anything would help thanks
