It looks nice to me...? Not sure what folks are critical of.

Don't get SteveO tattooed on your body. Not a good plan!!!

Let's put another shrimp on the barbie!

I was told that Australians refer to all shrimp as prawns! I learned this from an Australian couple I camped with at Burning Man last year.

Huh!
Well I'm a real girl.
I get email from lots of men in 3rd world countries who would very much like to marry me. I think mostly for the ability to live in America.
I would love to meet a man who really wants an adult level relationship.
Is that reasonable???

Very!drinker

Thank you-I thought I was being reasonable.
What I wrote in my profile is very truthful. I can't account for what others write.
I have written to men first on mingle, and gotten mixed responses. Some guys seem very suspicious when I write to them.....?

Men are adults?!

Of course.
A male-female relationship won't work well if both people are children.

Right.......I see the prediciment more clearly now......

I agree with the other ladies about the second photo being better. I think a nice smile goes a long way.

Hi Rob!
I sent you an email with some changes to consider. Other than those ideas, I think you sound like a good guy, you're very nice looking, and it shouldn't be hard for you to meet someone nice.
Good luck!

PS: But do consider quitting smoking...you want to be healthy for the kiddos!

Looks good to me-except the moustache pic-I agree on that.
Do you happen to have an older brother a lot like you?

I remember that line too, and I think there might be some truth to it.
Something about perspective?

I am a teacher and I know the book by heart.

I'm going tomorrow to the matinee-I'll give you my scoop on it tomorrow.

OK so we saw the movie today, and I must say it was thought provoking.
It seems to aim at the folks who grew up with the book originally, like me, and yet my teen daughters liked it a lot.
I think it is a very personal, culturally relevant movie, that will mean different things to different people.
Overall, it was good-worth the nice theatre matinee rates.
The scenes-especially in the beginning-when it was like someone running with a video camera, were a bit nauseating, but I get why those scenes were filmed that way.
The movie made sense, hit nerves, was sort of nostalgic, and was relevant in modern times.
I give it a thumbs up and so do my 17 and 15 year old daughters!
Now go out and see it for yourself!

My buddies in Santa Fe have been trying to get me to go to Zozobra for years. I meant to go to Burning Man this year but have been too busy to get away. Maybe next year. Both look like a ton of fun.

Burning Man is in a very very hot desert.

It's true-Burning Man is in a very warm location. The days can get hot, but if you plan well, you will be fine.
I don't know anything about the other festival you mentioned...I'll have to look into it. Do they allow any retail sales? One plus about Burning Man is that you don't need to worry about purchasing anything except ice for your cooler while you're there. I enjoy a week of not being expected to buy things.

I got home from my Burning Man trip last Monday night, and I must say, it was the most fun I have ever had in my life!

If anyone out there feels the need to shake up their routine and become their authentic self, or something different, without any judgments or criticisms for a week, I highly recommend going to Burning Man next year.

It is truly a life-changing experience!

Cheers ~Lisa
