WASHINGTON — Army leaders are expressing increased alarm about the mental health of soldiers who would be sent back to the front again and again under plans that call for troop numbers to be sustained at high levels in Iraq for this year and beyond.

Stressed? Who's stressed? I love vacationing in Iraq. It does my heart good to see you are worried about us. I am sure you are worried and not just using this as a reason to attack Republicans...hmmmm

The Veteran's Affairs Hospital's psych. ward in my city is understaffed and becoming overbooked with the men returning from Iraq and needing counseling.

They are only able to get one appt. every six weeks and that's mostly a meds. check.

The monies to the VA Hospitals have been cut.

I see we are enjoying our day off. Not everyone can understand the world situation. Some people like to live in fantasy worlds where only the goblins attack.

I have always been humanitarian on all of my posts. Whether it be republican or dem or ind, is irrelavant to the fact that our armies are stretched to their limits and for what? We shouldn't be in Iraq anyway. Bin laden is not in Iraq, has never been in Iraq, has nothing to do with Iraq. Bin Laden should be our target not Iraq.

i admit you haven't been insulting or attacking in posts.

my stance is still the same....9/11 had nothing to do with iraq. hussein had his own issues

Thanks on the non insulting commentsflowerforyou

Humanitarian is meant though to mean I look at the human issue of the subject matter. The humanity of this "military action" is first and foremost that the "natural deduction to be made from 9/11" should have been to go after bin laden. Saddam was what he was for a long long time before 9/11, pointing our attention on Saddam was not the "natural" deduction to be made from 9/11. Innocent lives have been lost on this endeavor our and theirs.

Now, we are stretched to our limits in a civil war that has waged on for a thousand years or more in that region and we are neck deep in it, needlessly. The objective is to what? They do not know how to be a democracy, Maliki is now getting ready to forbid Sadr people from voting, they have no understanding of democracy. We aren't even a democracy from what I hear from most of the proponents of the war and yet we are "promoting" democracy in other countries by force.noway huh

I am honored by the military personnel who chose to put their lives on the line for this country. It is not the militaries fault the administration in this country has personal agendas for "military action". I have said this over and over.
