Hi there..I live in Western N.C. and I haven't met a person yet that doesn't support our troops..so..no worries. Just come home! My daughters fiance just got back from over there...so I do understand what you are going through about coming home. No matter what "changes" you may find...the people that loved you when you left...love you now just as much if not more...we are all proud of you...just...come home!

hey whats up everybody some of you already know me or at least know me from what ive told you thus far as some may know i am in iraq and am nearing my redeplyment back to the states and a part of me is worried cuz ive been here for over a year and alot has changed back home i guess what im saying is that things are gonna be way different because i know im gonna run into those type of people that are arrogant and dont care about anything that us soldiers do for them im not asking for sympathy just some input as to how you would handle this situation

thank you for your time

Im a little confused on what your looking for? Is this an outreach for sympathy, boast of courage,...???

Who cares about those you run into? Ignore them and move on...Arent you proud of yourself in what you have done? How about your friends and family? DOnt you have support there?

Glad to hear your coming home drinker
i guess what im getting at is you know things out here are a little more complex but simple at the same time i mean yea we have commanders and higher ups but sometimes you gotta take things into your own hands and alot of people end up hurt and i dont want to bring that home with me

Be yourself and be proud...We are of you!

Right. There are plenty of people who don't support the war, or Bush, but we sure support our soldiers..

I agree with Single_Rob.. but to add to it; there's nothing to fear. Think of it this way.. being in Iraq and having to deal with those whom live in that country aren't accepting of all you soldiers coming into their comfort zone. Nor would are we comfortable about those entering ours. However, it's much easier to praise yourself for fighting for what you believe and protecting those of us who are grateful for your courage.. you don't need to worry about the ignorant ones or those who lack understanding behind your fight in life.. you're the better one to smile at those who frown at you.. and you're certainly the better one to worry more about your well-being and all the others who appreciate what you do. It's like living daily and worrying more about the negatives that we face, rather than feeling blessed for all the positives at hand!

I have no idea if I even answered whatever it was you were seeking an answer too.. it is what it is. Have a safe trip home and be glad you're one to make it back to those who love you.

Folks who don't support the troops are not worth your anger or grief, and barely worth the effort it takes to ignore them. And Single_Rob is right, for every one that does not support the troops there's gonna be 10 ready to knock 'em flat. You are serving your country, nothing more honorable than that.

You ARE supported. You ARE appreciated. You are awesome!! flowerforyou

as another prior serviceman...keep your chin up, and be proud knowing that although some would look down upon a soldier, it is a definate that they would be too afraid to do what we did...in my book that makes you better than them, sir...

welcome home, now its time to enjoy life out of the suck and sandbox for a while...
