I am a 22 year old single mother of a 13 month old. I have a good paying job, my own car, and my own place to live. I have a good head on my shoulders, I take care of my piorities. I a strong independent, confident person. Anything I set my mind to I accomplish. With all the resposibilites that i have i go to school on top of that, i have a pretty busy schedule. The question is how come i cant find a guy that is well grounded like i am. I usually date older guys because they are supposed to mature for thier age but the 30 yrs i have dated, they still needed to grow up. I am well grounded and ready to settle down with my life partner. I know that might sound wierd coming from a 22 yr old, but that is what i want, having my son changed me a whole lot. so let me know your thoughts on this.

Very few men your age are grounded or responsible. Most men mature around the 38+ age.....and once they hit 40 they start thinking......"Omg.....maybe I should get married"laugh laugh laugh laugh laugh

I understand where you are coming from....at 24, I found myself divorced with a 2 year old...trust me, concentrate on your school and your son right now....everything else will fall into place at the right time....you are still very young...I am so proud of you for your accomplishments.....take your time...DO NOT settle !!!!!....you will find some great friends here....good luck!!!!!

Very well said! DO NOT SETTLE!!! When one settles for what comes along, a lifetime of undiscovery will surely follow.Happiness comes to those who wait and dreams do come true.

mature... -cough-

I've gone from playing in the sand box to playing with a sand blaster.

I've gone from toy cars to cars that are toys that take me places to play.

I've gone from going steady to meeting my future ex-wife. Okay, so some things change with that maturity.

I've gone from walking into McDonalds to driving through Ronald's Steakhouse, perfectly happy to get a kid a happy meal and a toy I never got. We have to share though.

I've gone from Making toys out of candlewax to making toys out of metals and other materials. driven by that same childish passion to create things.

I've gone from 5 channels and cartoons on saturday morning, to well, 500 channels commercial free, if I plan it right.

I've gone from playing with an etch-a-sketch, to designing and building my own sortof that makes new toys in 3 dimensions.

I've gone from wanting a job to make a better life to realize I don't ever want to be employed again, and if I'm not having fun, it really is a job.

Now for real maturity. I've learned it has very little to do with what I receive that defines the quality of relationships I'm in, but what I have to give. Today, I share my toys. happy
