I stand so very tall.
I can hear the wind call.
I’m far from being small.
I have even seen men crawl.

I do have an interesting story.
And it is not even gory.
I’m not made of ivory.
I stand tall in all my glory.

Do you know what I’m yet?
You can even find me on the net.
If you see me you will not regret.
For I will never be a threat.

They come to me young and old.
I have even heard that some told.
I seem so brave and very bold.
No matter what, I can not be sold.

I welcome tired souls from the seas.
Some believe I hold the keys.
To this land they come and fall to there knees.
They look upon me as they feel the cool breeze.

Yet do you have and ideal.
Could it be I’m made of steel?
Some say I even have a sex appeal.
Believe me I’m so very real.

So far do you have any clue?
I will never make you blue.
Many will tell you it is true.
I have the most beautiful view.

As the grateful look upon me with tears.
They have waited so many years.
I listen to them and hear there cheers.
Some that passed before me were even scholars.

Now have you finally guessed?
I welcome the tired and stressed.
They feel as they have been blessed.
They look upon me no longer depressed.


I hold in my hand a torch so high.
It reach’s all the way to the sky.
So now do you know why?
Some look at me and cry.

I’m not just ones property.
And I do not live in poverty.
I’m keep clean and never dirty.
For I’m the STAUTUE OF LIBERTY.

Hey really thanks to all of you.
Kinda strange this one hit me on the
way home today for me that is strange
have no clue why I thought of the
Stautue of Liberty. Someday I want to
go see her and stand before her as my
grandfather did when came to this country
from Germany in 1906.
