What works best for you?? I have severe back pain and nerve pain from a back injury at a job, and I have been taking tramadol for a year and it's not really doing so great anymore. I've tried several other pills, but nothing works enough. Grrrr, I hate pain!!

Pills mask the pain and tend to stop working as your body builds imune to them ..
try streaching Hot baths and lerning to to use your back properly flowerforyou

Try Johnson and Johnson Duregesic Patches with Fentynol....and Norco for Breakthrough pain.....Norgesic Forte works GREAT for nerves in the legs.... talk to the doctor about duregesic patches....start at a low dose then work your way up.....you'll find the microgram that suits you....

I suggest a pain management specialist..they will evaluate your situation and make sure the meds are changed and adjusted on a regular basis to ensure they do the intended job! Hope you feel better!

Duregesic patches are NOT adictive which is one GREAT thing about them!!! They are a slow release medication that goes into your bloodstream over 2 to 3 days....then, you change the patch....simple... The norco is a GREAT breakthrough pain med that takes away the leftover that the duregesic can't touch....the combo is UNSTOPABLE!!!

A lot of you are talking about pain management.....that does not work for all people. It only goes so far and then your stuck with nothing.....I suggest this because I use them....yes sir, you're talking to a guy who went through pain management for 4 years and they didn't do JACK S#$T for me!!! I finally found a Doctor who CARES and took care of me.....I'm still as sharp as ever and the meds don't mess with my head...... That's why I love the combo I'm on.....

Ok I'm on workmans comp and my dr has refered me to a pain clinic however the insurance wouldnt pay for it. Surgery is the only way to correct my problem, I have a bone on bone. Heating pads and warm baths are a joke to my condition.

The whole "drugs are bad" thing is noble but wrong. If you ever need a transplant of any kind you will understand.flowerforyou

If you're on Workman's comp, like I am, they HAVE to pay for it!!!!! It's MANDATORY!!! talk to an attorney....he'll tell you the same thing

I got addicted to pain pills. Be careful. I found they don't kill pain at all. Rather, they got me high, and eventually I got addicted.
