A very abusive person, who is a compulsive liar, who can make you believe just about anything they say, then after you are in, they show their nasty side. They believe the lies that they tell you, that is why you believe them. They are very calm when faced with adversity. They can explain their way out of anything. They usually play the victim part well also. Until you meet one, it's hard to describe. Hey, I'm always calm when adversity happens. I pride myself on not losing it and being able to take charge in a given situation (if need be). Great gobs of goosesh!t.... I might be a sociopath! <takes drink of water> |

I have serious trust issues.. Comes from years of getting my ass beat on a regular basis .. along with the fists there was severe emotional abuse.. would rather take a fist to the face any day then the words to the heart.. bruises heal.. the other **** destroys a piece of your soul well you aren't alone there... have you been to therapy? Yep we've been divorced since 2000.. it never completely goes away... Did the whole therapy thing for awhile after we divorced, took alot longer to get rid of the jerk then I thought.. turned into a stalker, wrote letters to me and sent them , had to change phone numbers so many times i lost count.. Stillto this day makes me question my judgement Never question your judgement for making a decision for your safety. I will be sending you a message. Look forward to it |

My trust issues were from childhood, gradually outgrowing them and are no longer a real problem for me as I like to think if something is wrong they will tell me...if they are cheating on me...I'm non the wiser, last to know, guy in the dark, probably still don't know about some.

Trust issues aye...yeah, I have had my share of them. I almost let them destroy my life. More than half of it wasted and a good wife gone. I had them so bad that I became so defensive that I was actually on the offense. Not a good place to find yourself. Believe that. I think people do tend to over psycho-analyze things though....I mean everyone these days is an armchair psychologist after an episode of Dr. Phil or Oprah.
Most of these things can be dealt with by faith and forgiveness. Stop believing the lies about yourself, stop feeding the lies about others. Find something higher than you and more possitive to believe in. You can change and help others to change. Use your experiences...bad or good to do some good.... |

Are you willing to admit them? If you have them what do you do about them? The most obvious one is anyone 28 to 30 and a total knockout. Usually, they manage to find their way to West Africa on some business trip and seem quite illiterate. What I do, is occupy their time as much as possible. Then, word somehow gets around and they leave me alone. In real life situations, I don't trust someone who lies to me. In close succession, I just tell them they're all out of lies with me, and dump them. Rarely do they get another chance to lie to me. |

i beleive trust is a earned trait... u can be mutual<meaning open to it> when u meet someone but to trust u have to get to know them... so its earned. something that two people build in each other as time goes on... or not build if they are doing something weird.. or outta place... and that goes for friends or interests as partners

Im a people watcher.....I can pretty much pick out the trustworthy ones and the idiots a mile away....... What about sociopaths.... I'm good at people too, but they trick me. Do you ever just sit quietly with people while they talk and feel their energy? good or bad?  my life ....my religion...but still...I end up giving the benifit of doubt.... |

My ex was diagnosed with an "antisocial personality disorder."
I lived a nightmare being around him, he was extremely abusive and violent. Blamed all his problems on me, of course. I finally divorced him, but the trust issue is a hard one. I just recently let the walls down and got kicked in the teeth again (not physically, but emotionally) by someone I thought I knew really well and I thought had a good heart. Yup, I have trust issues, and need to make stronger walls around me too now. |
