I have dial up. Pitty me. I had to uninstall and re-download my anti-virus program....a 2 1/2 hour download for me.
Attempt #1: Almost successful download this morning. Gets down to the last 2 min...and freezes there for 30 min. I give up and hit "cancel". Attempt #2: This afternoon. Gets down to the last 5 min and my 2 yr old son pushes the power button on my CPU. Have to try very hard not to have a meltdown and sell him to the gypsies. Attempt #3: This evening. 5 min ago I just noticed that I only had 50 min left....and proceeded to...for some mysterious reason I don't understand.....hit "cancel". Then sit there for 2 minutes in disbelief. Time to start drinking..... |

I have been sitting here for over 5 hrs because of a nasty virus I picked up today on mine...I am downloading a free antivirus as we speak

I did some research today after my meltdown and I am downloading avira antivirus as we speak...Will let you know the outcome.

any suggestions on any that are free and good quality? AVG is free adn does a pretty good job for me. Haven't had a virus in at least three years. Course, I am behind two firewalls and two antiviruses here on the home network and am dang careful what I do and open |
