I am well aware that it happens here as well. I never stated that it didn't. According to Interpol it is a global problem in all the civilized nations.

However I do not confuse or bundle these people in same cloth as 'illegal aliens'.

Nor do I find it amusing that it happens at all.

Government figures. Not some alleged site.

No country listed.
It could be Canada. Slavery is illegal here.

Hmmmm.
U.S. Department of health and Human Services. Right at the top of the page.

"Trafficking Victims
Approximately 600,000 to 800,000 victims annually are trafficked across international borders worldwide, and between 14,500 and 17,500 of those victims are trafficked into the U.S., according to the U.S. Department of State. These estimates include women, men and children. Victims are generally trafficked into the U.S. from Asia, Central and South America, and Eastern Europe. Many victims trafficked into the United States do not speak and understand English and are therefore isolated and unable to communicate with service providers, law enforcement and others who might be able to help them."

Slavery is illegal in most of the nations of the world. However that doesn't mean it doesn't happen. It has happened and continues here, France, Germany, Great Britain etc, etc.

I was laughing because that link says the identical thing as the one you supplied. Only it omitted the cia and says Canada.
Its an obvious bogus message.
Most all the slave/forced labor occurs in China, India, Pakistan, many Asian countries, and many African nations. I dont think its amusing either, and never denied it is a problem in these countries. You are running away on an opposite tangent, misinterpreting what the OP insinuated in the One post by her that I was referring to.

Earth to karma,,
come back down from your intangible mythical soap box.. drinker bigsmile

I never said a few didn't slide in here either karma. If you had watched the program I watched on PBS one day you would have mentioned the Choir that a man had brought in to the USA and toured them between various Religious groups for profit. Barely feeding them and keeping them locked in cheap motel rooms until one of them escaped. But it is rare and that wasn't what was said in the aforementioned post!

Are you walking a hard beat tonight karma??
