Perhaps this question has been posed previously, but with me being new and all...well: With all of the media focusing on the Going Green campaign....I'm curious to know if anyone is listening and doing things to "go green".

Drive a Honda, planted more trees, shower quicker, more aware of the impact of purchases made...etc..

Whereever the masses lead you be sure to not follow. Going green is code for something me thinks.

I eat organic, replaced our light bulbs, unplug electronics that are used at the time, dont use plastic bags, lots of little things!

I don't really think I've done much. I bought a newer car that gets better gas mileage, but that's because I needed it and with gas prices these days, well.......

Seriously, I broke out my old bike and got it back in shape. Now its getting me back in shape. Getting to where I can ride further all the time.

Recycle as much as I can. Shorter showers too. Use the dishwasher only when full, sometimes 1-1/2 weeks between running it. Same with laundry, only wash when I have decent loads or really need something to save on water, electricity, etc. Use environmentally friendly cleaners as much as possible. Save my trips to the store for when I have a list of things, don't run for 1 or 2 things, etc.

Actually, I did replace the light bulbs, but again, that's because they last longer and save energy which cuts down on my bills. I don't think I've done anything "green" just for merely "going green."

I think you have to start them all from scratch.... the other thing I keep reading and seeing is the more a company advertises how good they are for the environment the more damage they are actually inflicting...eg the oil companies, utilities.
