I don't have a mother or father in the world and I think you are wrong. If they are still around cherish everything they, evaluate it and use what you feel is good for you.

i lost my dad in 99, he was a harsh man, we were never friends until the last few years, and speaking out of honesty, i am grateful for every spanking, every harsh word,and all the arguments...He made a man out of me and for that i'm eternally grateful. I learned a lot from him, how to treat people, how to stand up for myself, to be honest and forthright, so yeah i really miss my dad. I'm lucky enough my mom is still living, maybe it's just me, but family is to me, the most important. jmo, but we never stop learning until we close the door to ideas.

I fully agree with you I also have neither parent alive lost my Mom when I was just 15 months old and my Dad 4 years ago. I had my ups and downs with my Dad in life but would never wish for him not to be around.

I would give my right arm to have either of them back.

One should step back and see if it is not what is within that brings those feelings on.

I agree really to an extent. Let me explain. There is this song that is from a cd that I own and it describes persay how your mom or dad is your only true friend. I realize that for the most part they are there for your best interest they can also hinder you and inhibit you from "growing up" and mmoving on with your life as in my case.. I wish i can give you the nam of the cd but right now I cannot think og it.

So all in all if one of us loses a parent a chunk of us is without a doubt removed or zapped from us but we can come back and fight life to win and be strong despite not having a mom or dad to latch onto
