We kissed the other day......
You were right there with your darkened hair standing in the sunlight. But where else would you be standing? You opened your hand and we brushed palm to finger tip, we touched lips, with my hands on your hips. Yes, my favorite place to embrace you, and encircle you with my Love. I guess it was one of those “just because” moments, those “I’ve always Loved you” moments that evoked such sensitivity. How many years had we been “us,” and how many years did we discuss our future dreams? We had such possibilities but, that is different now. We’ve both moved on, and we listened to the sound of our initial goodbye. We both cried, yet we knew, to set ourselves free, we had to let go of what we thought was you and me. We could clearly see the forest for the trees. Love is funny at times. Sometimes letting go really is the most loving thing to do. It was, anyway, for me and for you. JDS 06/17/08 |
