Each day we are apart,

Incessant beating of the heart.

I remember a kiss,
I remember a tug,
Now feeling so alone,
When push comes to shove.

I call out your name,
Yet you aren't even there,
I think I see you,
As I walk and I stare.

Triggers out of the blue,
Destiny or not,
I figure it's time to go,
Time just can't be bought.

I've wasted so many days,
Sat alone wishing on stars,
Hoping you were fine,
Where ever you are.

Love is a two way street,
Seems like I've walked alone,
Waiting for two hearts to beat,
Yours... dry as a bone.

So I do what I can,
Wishing you the very best,
Knowing we both deserve more,
So I put this love to rest.

It comes with great sadness,
Yet if I want more,
I must look ahead,
Not focus on a half opened door.

Life isn't fair,
When your hearts on a string,
One day you call,
For months then the phone doesn't ring.

So when you truly love someone,
Love isn't a game,
You both reach towards each other,
You both treat each other the same.

Unconditional love,
I wish you the very best,
Yet it's time to move forward,
Living a life full of zest.

As days roll by,
I'm sure a trigger will come,
When I think I saw you,
But when the day is done.

I know the Lord will guide you,
As you are on your own path,

Yet I'll be happy too in the aftermath.

It's been a great journey,
We once had our fun,
The chapters are written,
Close the book since it's done.

I've reached the end,
Of a very long story,
Laughter, tears,
Longing and worry.

The chapter concluded,
This is the end,
Wish only the best,
For you, my friend.

Happiness begins...
A whole new direction,
Just needed some time,
To take in the reflection.

Happily ever after,
She walked down the aisle,
Produce in hand,
She did it with style.

Our lives can be fruitful,
It's our attitudes or view,
Is the fruit cup half empty,
Are you loving you too?

Tossing an orange...
Look at the sections,
Is your life neatly quartered
Or have you lost direction?

Are you focused on one thing?
A love that has you on a string,
Perhaps you too need closure
Or to believe in something.

The end is a choice,
Which brings on a new beginning,
A whole new story,
I hope you are grinning.

We each write our own chapters,
It's about focus and insight,
If you keep trying...
One day you'll get it right!

Through closure we are open,
For what could be in store,
All we need is the courage,
To open the door!
