i just got home from a 20 mile drive, driving into a thunderstorm. i saw some of the most impressive and photogenic lightning i've seen in a long time. once i could see what must have been at least a dozen strikes almost simultaneously across my full field if vision. anyone else enjoy storms as much as i do?

They are neat to watch at a SAFE distance.
But throw a tornado in the mix and I'm outta there.

i worked outdoors for about 15 years. i do have a great deal of respect for weather, but can appreciate the raging beauty of a strong storm, and marvel at it's capacity for damage. |

Move here, we've had more than our share this year I love storms but Buttercup, my dog, does not. She barks incessantly at the thunder and paces the floor and pants. This can make for a long night if the storms occurs at night.

as a child i remember finding my do and cat both hiding in the bathtub during a rather strong storm. i thought it was funny initially, but then began to wonder if they knew something i didn't
