The endless amount of time, and energy that us kids had. It seemed there was 48 hours in each day, and I had something to fill everyone of them.

Knowing everyone's name on my street.

Not having any cares other than being home on time for lunch and dinner.

Waiting, but not realizing I was, for the Ice Cream Man to come by.

Waking at 6am, and looking forward to the day...lol.. Man, that's changed.

Not needing an alarm clock, or a watch to know what time it was.

Weren't the ice cream cones bigger when you were a kid?

The Swing (RLS)

How do you like to go up in a swing,
Up in the air so blue?
Oh, I do think it the pleasantest thing
Ever a child can do!

Up in the air and over the wall,
Till I can see so wide,
River and trees and cattle and all
Over the countryside--

Till I look down on the garden green,
Down on the roof so brown--
Up in the air I go flying again,
Up in the air and down!

I loved the swing I had as a child, a rope tied to the branch of a tree with an old car tyre tied to the end of it it, hours of fun.

I think it's that wonderful feeling of being FREE .. that we love about swings yanno?

I miss hanging out with my sister. We were joined at the hip, doing everything together.

We were two peas in a pod...as they say. Just relaxing with her was fun. We were each other BEST friends, still are. She lives in PA now, I hardly get to see her.

As we've gotten older, I miss her more and more.

Atari went to produce a computer which was used for the music recording industry until mid nineties.

Mu uncle owned a store on the hill and we would save our pennies to go buy cinnamon tooth picks and pixi sticks also sunflower seeds for just 5 cents and the best part gas was only 75 cents a gallon and a pack of smokes 75 cents toosmokin
