My life is like a ocean calm at times. Then without a warning a storm rushes in like a monster in the dark to steal my smile. To haunt my thoughts like some ghost that cant rest until I cant even remember what peace feels like. What a sunny day feels like on my face. Or the kiss of the morning dew or the warmth of a embrace. All you are left with is a shell of who you was. So are you left to walk alone forever? Locked in a world without trust. In a world so dark and cold you feel like a robot so hard and cold nothing but time can hurt you. But even steel will rust if not cared for. So today I lay down my pen and step out of the dark to feel the sun on my face. And in time find the smile I lost and the laughter. That once filled my life. So the long walk to a new life begins.
