I'm an Independent and I, like other Independents, are constantly inundated with the onslaught of Republicrat rhetoric.
Just one question that has always bothered me. We are told that the Republicans are for the rich while the Democrats are for the average/poor citizens. Why is it that when I drive through the richest neighborhoods in my area during election years, almost all of the rich people have Democratic campaign candidate signs posted in front of their mansions? What's wrong with this picture? |

There is a polarization of what american society views as dem or rep. We view the parties affliates to embrace the extremes. Where as the truth is that most american fall into the middle spectrum of political views.
I myself am a moderate republican, for a number of different reasons. If you were to have a conversation with me about social issues such as gay rights, abortion, immigration, etc. most people would assume that I am a dem. Also for the simple fact of my future occupation most people would assume that I am a dem. Political parties and affliations are the vehicle to get things done (or not done). Individuals have there own views and once we take a looks at individual views and needs on local levels than maybe our society will be better. |

That makes sense to me. Get the police off doing more important things. Run prostitution like a taxable business with medical inspections so some "john's" wife doesn't unknowingly contract AIDS. He makes more sense to me than anyone I know in political office. |

With regards to your above statement, is there a mistake, a typo perhaps, or otherwise a simple erroneous choice of words??? Given the heavy 'southpaw' leanings in your free speech protected observations, are you sure you meant to say that you were an INDEPENDENT??? As I said, just a simple clarifying question. |
