I know one thing...I REALLY need to shorten my description in my profile....

Then again, might be better for a woman to know what she's getting into. Sheesh.

I just read it and I thought it was fine. You are honest and upfront, which is good, but that is jmo

Lengthy, yes -- but very well written and an easy, informative read ... anyone deserving of your time and energy will spend hers reading through to the end!

Best of luck with your search, sounds like you have a lot to offer the right woman!

Funny thing is....a lot ( the vast majority ) of women say they want honesty, but when it comes down to someone like me letting them know what they are in for...they really don't want to know....lol

Unfortunately, or fortunately, depending on how you look at it, trying to be someone I'm not just isn't my style. I am who I am and I happen to like being me. :-)

Just my experience of course.

Ya know...I really Do have a lot to offer.

Keep in mind that I never got into my hobbies. I have found that once I tell someone what one of my hobbies is, they tend to run the other way. No...it's nothing like decapitating kittens or storing people in my basement. Let's just say that most women find it a little " odd ". lol

Your right some people really dont want honesty, but I find it freshing. You dont need to change anything at all and certainly not you. Just be yourself and you will do fine. Good luck to you, and enjoy the forums.

Well, ya gotta hold a little somethin' back for the first email right? (altho' if it's somethin' she might find skeery, ya might wanna save it for the 2nd or 3rd email!)

I'm a big fan of the written word, so I always appreciate a man who is articulate and expressive -- especially online when the words on the screen are your primary means of learning about the other person. Well done - from someone else who fails to grasp the term 'brief' blurb! bigsmile

Yeah....I kinda kept thinking of stuff as I was going along.

I don't know about you, but one thing that will really get my attention is someone who is well spoken, but not snobbish about it.

That and good looking eyes and I am done for.love

Excellent Profile!!! While I am rarely motivated to date someone younger I would consider it if you were a non-smoker. You come off as having and opinion but making it with some forethought and maturity if your personality in writing computes to saying what crosses your mind. So what you like loud music as long as you are considerate of others there is a time and a place to crank up the music. Rock on guy. Good luck. P.S. good photos but you are a nice looking guy and a good portrait shot might pump up your responses.

I didn't realize how much proper spelling and good grammar meant to me until I started meeting people online -- not to sound snooty and elitist, but when I see someone has taken the time to proof read and spell check their profile (1st impressions, right?) it speaks volumes to me ... and if he throws in some Latin (imo the coolest dead language EVER love), well, I'm toast! lol blushing

ETA: A smiling photo of yourself would probably be a great addition - it's more inviting and 'warms it up' a little.

Such a shame. I failed Latin MISERABLY in High School....lmao

Honestly, bad grammar really doesn't bother me as much as bad spelling. I understand that everyone makes typos...but they are easy enough to fix if the person that makes them just looks back at what they typed.

sad You had the privilege of studying LATIN in high school? All we were offered was French and Spanish ... life is so unfair! brokenheart

(and you wondered WTH you'd ever use that silly ol' language for bigsmile)

Most of the time, I type the same way I talk. Good or bad, that's just me.

As far as portrait shot style pics...I have never had any real reason to go and get any. The last portrait I actually had taken was my Senior picture in High School.

Besides, I really wouldn't be comfortable doing something like that. The way I figure it, what ya see is what ya get. For better or worse, that's me in all my " glory ". lol
