That's not funny Crickster. This isnt either though! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_amh5NP0pVY It is very understadable that when something as basic to American as one's freedom has been taken away that one would come to such a conclusion. Running for president and not knowing how many states there are or saying that air in the tires will save all the oil that we can get by drilling just shows .....I'll just say that speaks for itself. |

I can't watch videos on my computer, it won't play them so I am disappointed.
![]() But the new slogan has to be the commercials I see from McCain blaming Obama for high gas prices and higher taxes. That seems to be the only running point for them. Sadly, uninformed Americans will buy it. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

The second video is him on a Fox interview. He's asked about what all the years in solitary confinement he spent as a POW, and what effect it had on him.
Here's what he said, John McCain has repeatedly stated that he didn't love our country until he was captured as a POW during Vietnam. Here's what McCain said in March on FOX: "I didn't really love America until I was deprived of her company." Then there's McCain in 1999: "It wasn't until I was deprived of her company that I fell in love with America." |

This just proves my point about him not being mentally stable. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

HANNITY: When you were captured, you had broken your two arms. You had shattered your knee, you broke your shoulder. And then when they captured you, they had beaten you, I read, and stabbed you with a bayonet.
MCCAIN: You know, I had the misfortune of landing in a lake in the center of the city of Hanoi, or practically. So the natives were a little restless, as we say. And so it got a big crowd around. I land in this lake. To make a long story short, the army people came up. Otherwise, it might have been a lot worse than that. And took me a very short ride to the prison. So my escape and evasion part of this story is very brief. HANNITY: Well, but with all those broken bones in your body-- MCCAIN: Yes. HANNITY: -- and then I understand you didn't get any medical help for nine days. You spent two years of this five-and-a-half-year period in solitary confinement. What does that do to a person, to spend that much time in solitary confinement? MCCAIN: I think it makes you a better person. Obviously, it makes you love America. I really didn't love America until I was deprived of her company, but probably the most important thing about it, Sean, is that I was privileged to have the opportunity to serve in the company of heroes. http://www.realclearpolitics.com/articles/2008/03/john_mccains_full_hour_on_hann.html As I said earlier it is very understadable that when something as basic to American as one's freedom has been taken away that one would come to such a conclusion. I'm sure that if you went through that, one's perception of before and after as to all the things that we take for granted here in America would definitely change. |

I really didn't love America until I was deprived of her company
Oops,, There it is again!! Then there's McCain in 1999: "It wasn't until I was deprived of her company that I fell in love with America." Oops, There it is again. What a hypocrite.. People it glass houses should not throw rocks! |

I didn't know how much I loved my dog till she died....
I didn't know how much I loved my home till it burnt down... I didn't know how much I loved being healthy till I became sick... That is the context in which McCain makes his statements. I'm sure he now loves Anerica quite differently than he did before his POW experience. You conveniently left out McCain's sentence before he says that - "Obviously, it makes you love America." That was in response to the question "What does that do to a person, to spend that much time in solitary confinement? Now you can play the line you took out of context. I really didn't love my America until I was deprived of her company. Perfectly understandable....... |

Which warnings? Was that in the funnyordie video?
It didn't load today!! However, it is rumored that T. Boone Pickens is aggressively launching a nationwide chain of tire inflation and tune-up quick drive through stations in all 59 states (INCLUDING HAWAII AND ALASKA) ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

America didn't die!! ![]() ![]() ![]() Grasping for straws hard aren't you???? Did you notice where FOX had edited it out of their broadcast? Evidently they didn't agree with your assessment! ![]() ![]() I'm sure to McCain that during this time he must have fealt like America had died. He was surely deprived of all his liberties. And honorably he stayed with his men when he had the chance to come home. A lessor man would have come out of something like that hating America. Yet he realized that the love of America he had before his capture was nothing compared to the love of his country after his imprisonment. And that is what he said to most that read this. You never addressed the line "obviously, it makes you love America." That was the line before the quote that he is being attacked for. My examples were appropriate. I can't believe you agree with the way the line is being spinned and taken out of context. To atack McCain on this one, and to spin it the way you have is just erroneous and wrong. |
