Handle an emergency???? Cool, calm, and calculating showing no emotion????
Or emotional and showing lots of affection and attention???? I don't know if those are the right words, but maybe you follow the drift!!! |

Well, if it's an emergency clearly you have to move fast and think fast and doing that calmly is a plus! There is always time for the emotion to come out later. That is how it's always happened for me. I am very calm, but fall apart sometime after.

It depends on the decision... Take it like you feel it. If it's something emotional... Then live it out. If it's something that requires you to be strong... Meaning others are too weak, and need you to depend on... There is noo one right way to deal with it.

I think it takes great self control to handle an emergency calm and cool. In an emergency a job has to be done...and if someone can handle it calm and cool...that means you can rely on them. Like at the scene of an accident if someone is panicking they can't help anyone...but it's the calm one that gets the job done. So, I like the calm cool one.

Depends on the type of emergency and the kind of man he is...
I mean HELLO I would so not like a firefighter/paramedic getting all crazy and emotional during a fire or a citizen having a MI... |

Emergency should elicit a calm response.

I have a good friend that is a fireman/emt here. He told me about a bad car accd..involved a little girl his daughters age. Talked about the importance of holding it together while working on her, even rode in the ambl with her and she coded twice. THAT must have been hard when you have a child that age especially. Thank God there are people that CAN do it! |

Handle an emergency???? Cool, calm, and calculating showing no emotion???? Or emotional and showing lots of affection and attention???? I don't know if those are the right words, but maybe you follow the drift!!! Some of each. Show come emotion. So the person in the situation can feel comforted. Don't over due it! But 'no emotion'? People in an emergency don't like the people helping them to seem like robots. Or to treat them like an object and not a person. |
