For me it is me, I know that sounds like crap. But I did not want to turn out like anyone around me. I had vowed to take care of my own self and rely on no one. I am and wanted to be the pillar of strengh, someone others could truly and honestly rely on.

When I was 3 my babysitter Patty gave me an album/LP.....

(those are the slightly bigger than frisbee discs that old people are refering to when they talk about "playing records" kids)

......The album was "Alvin and The Chipmunks play The Beatles". The first song I heard was "All My Lovin"

By 4yo I was listening to the (actual) Beatles. Not long after that, the sin would beginsmokin

Rock n Roll (and all music) has been in my blood ever since.

i tried to be the strength for all my friends, but it got to the point where i couldnt deal with it anymore, constantly bailing them out, being their support system, and being a way to gather strength. sooner or later you will run out of strength yourself. and it sucks to get to that point, cause you feel worse than anything and have not a clue what to do about it.

true, but a freindly shoulder or an ear can do wonders for someone who most think are the strength for everyone around them

Absolutely however when helping someone becomes a hinderance on you, then you have to cut them lose. Not many people will look out for you, and the ones who do are called life long friends, and they won't lean as much as the ones who come and go.
