Actually, I've found some studies on this. It is actually much higher than 55 percent.
Most people will recognize the letters, and even in the wrong order, the brain with automatically start filtering it to make it make sense. It's some form of pattern recognition. And even though some words can be scrambled to make more that one word using all the letters, the brain is focusing on making it make the most sense, so it pulls in the words based on context. |
