Sept. 1, 2008 10:15 AM
Associated Press

ST. PAUL, Minn. - Sarah and Todd Palin say their 17-year-old unmarried daughter is pregnant.

John McCain's running mate Sarah Palin said Monday that her 17-year-old unmarried daughter Bristol is five months pregnant.

Senior McCain advisers said the Arizona senator and his top aides had known about Bristol's pregnancy before offering Palin the No. 2 spot on the GOP ticket.

Also with McCain stating that the issue with the pregnancy is a family matter and is personal...um wasn't it McCain who approved the new commercial bashing Obama's kids.

The difference is that they tried to conceal it. They should have just been up front with reporters and the American public.

They knew it would become public. What were they supposed to do, announce Gov. Palin as the #2 and say, "oh, by the way, her daughter is preggers!"

A preview of the commercial was given during the DNC and FOX or MSNBC stated the commercial was scheduled to air prior to the RNC. Either way its just both political parties trying to stomp personally on the opponent. Who cares about the families? What about the gas prices?

I don't think its all that important. In my opinion a 17 year old pregnant girl has no bearing on national politics.

As for the big cover up--- PLEASE!!!!!!! no parent is willing to announce that their 17 year old is pregnant. Its really not something to be proud of- its normal in this day and age but is it a matter of national security? i think not!!

No biggie in the grand scheme of things.

I agree, there is no proof of trying to conceal this. Its not like she isn't going to be showing by the time elections role around. They would know with all the media coverage the press is going to find out anyway. This post just seems like a liberal bashing tactic.

Even though the United States is among those countries with a falling teen pregnancy rate, it still has by far the highest rate of teen pregnancy throughout the western industrialized world
SO what does say about all teenage pregnancies, not just Palin's daughter's. Why do you think it is your job to single her out???? Is your family perfect? Are you perfect?
Oh by the way Obama concealed until the press dug up dirt on his azz to that he was a Cocaine addict till he was 20. Does that make a difference??
