Palin continued to inject religious beliefs into her policy at times. "She asked the library how she could go about banning books," he says, because some voters thought they had inappropriate language in them. "The librarian was aghast." The librarian, Mary Ellen Baker, couldn't be reached for comment, but news reports from the time show that Palin had threatened to fire her for not giving "full support" to the mayor. -- Time

anyone who claims to separate their moral beliefs from their politics is either a hypocrite or a liar, just like changing churches because it is politically expedient (circa Obama). I have much more respect for a person who tries to live their beliefs than one who simply plays lip service to them. Kinda ike "I went to that church for 20 years and never heard what the preacher was saying." I mean, what is that defined as?

so you make the case that it is wrong to investigate how to carry out the requests of your constituents? As the article states, she was responding to requests from her constituents. That is a heck of a lot better than what we have experienced for the last couple hundred years where our elected and appointed officials ignore our wishes and simply wallow in their egos and sell their butts for the highest bidder.

Anyone see her husbands former business partner, with whom she was alleged to have had an affair, applied today (dated post maybe yesterday) for an emergency sealing of his divorce records?
Something stinks in Alaska and I don't think it's rotten moose burgers. |

News of his emergency application to the Alaskan courts broke this afternoon. Ever time I have tried to access court records the link timed out. I am on dial-up and I assume everyone and their dog is working that link so I am not surprised.
In most states divorce records are open unless otherwise ordered by the judge. I may be wrong on that. I am sure if I am I will be called on it. |
