Julie, you hit the nail on the head when you said "if they read my
profile...", most of them probably can't read!

Julie, as a guy myself, I fond it embarrassing but undeniable that this
site (and, in my experience, all sites of this type) contains a certain
number of guys who are complete idiots.

I can't explain it, I don't understand it, and I'm not about to
apologize for somebody else's stupidity (I never e-mail or IM anyone
first, that's just my own personal policy), but I do regret that they
behave in this manner and, by extrapolation, taint the good guys who are
actually trying to be decent and respectable.

As to your question about whether these guys would honestly want a
girlfriend or a partner who would actually respond to this sort of abuse
-- frankly, I doubt if they're even thinking (I use the term loosely)
THAT far ahead. They want a reaction; they think they have a sort of
"captive audience" here and that's all they know. Be blunt, be rude --
it's as if they get something out of it. But does anybody EVER actually
get anwhere with their kinds of lines? maybe, but I've never heard of
that.

So -- block the jerks, report them, tell them off, whatever. Just
remember, not everybody is like those guys....

I think guys often feel the same way about the chicks who are simply
using dating sites as a way to advertise their...wares, for a lack of a
better term.

There are freaks in both genders, and sadly the good ones get punished

I just try to avoid the rif raf. for 1 I don't answer

It's true but sad how some approach others on the sites. But also must
make sure that porfiles are not too forward or giving the ideal you want
something else besides what your looking for. Some might not think about
the pictures they post and how it comes across to others also. But then
have had the same problem guys right off the bat start talking about sex

are the ones you ignore and be glad they show there true colors early

I get guys trying to connect with me for cyber sex - I
