Joe or Jane Lonely logs onto the net looking for some social interaction or for a date? They decide to do a little research and see a dating link for Mingle2...then they look at the related links and see NAM** forum links.

I know I would say no thanks to that site if another was available.

Say you are a violent criminal perv (yes I think that the position that organization pushes is sick and wrong)...looking for dating and a way to indulge a criminal and disgusting sexual practice... and let's be honest folks...there are people who promote, encourage and profit from that sickness...you pop in a few search words and see this site...because of the discussion we had on the deleted thread.
I don't generally support deleting or editing threads by taking some and not others out or changing the language of a post.

there were no links and there was little mention searching for something and coming up with EVERY mention of it ever is both unlikely and impossible. dont worry , were safe here,lol.

they can read it, but googling NAMBLA is not going to net you EVERY mention of it in the entirety of the net, it doesnt work that way.

That reference was not why the thread was deleted. It was the mention of a suspended member.

But, gosh let's look at where we have agreed.

Most of us agree this Wall Street stuff stinks.

Most of us agree...it's better to speak up, to advocate our positions with facts not rotten names and debate things rather than banning someone.

Most of us agree...somethings broken...we just don't agree about how to fix it.

Debate, exchanging ideas, being passionate about concepts, ideas and the future, it's what makes people great. It's what makes this little corner of the world worth revisiting even when it is ugly, frustrating and well...maddening!

I hope we all learned something tonight.

A little discourse between concerned Americans, sans the stupid partisan crap that we've been conditioned to believe is the right way to go, has started something here. I truly believe that through this, all of us here will be able to take the tolerance and ability to discuss the issues that are important to out into the "real" world and make something happen.

For the most part, I'm proud of us.
