absolutly thats all obama had done in over two years is ran for president.or vote present a few times. and takes credit for bill he didnt have anything to do with.low and behold he now takes credit that this was his original idea.its time he stop thinking of himself and go to work for a change.if he can fix all the the countrys problem then a good start is for him to go to work and do it.but why would he do that all he has to do is say he can.im not or never will get on the chosen ones band wagon.i dont trust him his friends are thugs and he doesnt show for work.and when he does its only about abortion.

NEW YORK - The economic crisis and raw politics threatened to derail the first presidential debate as John McCain challenged Barack Obama to delay Friday's event to work on the financial crisis. Obama rebuffed the plea, saying presidents need to "deal with more than one thing at once."

McCain’s Call to Cancel Debate Met with Resistance

John McCain is calling for a delay in Friday’s national security debate with Barack Obama at the University of Mississippi, but the school is moving full steam ahead, according to a statement released this afternoon. The Associated Press also reported that Obama is seeking to keep the debate on schedule.

McCain set to suspend campaign

Bush's invite came hours after McCain announced he plans to suspend his campaign Thursday, and return to Washington to deal with the crisis.

He said he also wants to postpone Friday's presidential debate in order to focus all of his attention on the economy.

Obama quickly disagreed the proposition, saying "it's more important than ever" for the country to hear from its next president.

sounds like he just wanted to do it Monday instead of Friday

still sounds like the Rep/Dem would rather see the country collapse than allow the opposing party get any credit for doing anything

What a beautiful statement... and might just be right on the money.

I wonder how anyone can think that a debate (lets just jaw bout our problems) is something that is 'Presidential' or in anyway helpful to those about to ground into deeper poverty.

I want to see action... I want to see it now... I want to see it done right... Most important I want to see all of our various politicans STOP playing the game and start FIXIN THE PROBLEM.

Let's just throw a bunch of money at the problem and not even think much about it. And do it quick because it's an election year. explode
