People keep talking more about the candidates than the house. I'm wondering if people here (both sides) are disgusted enough to vote out their incumbant yet?

I personally think that would be more effective for the next prez whoever he is. Yu think?

Personally, I think the whole government, from the top down, needs to be replaced, regardless of political party. As a matter of opinion, I think that both parties in and of themselves need to be gone! And all lobbyists. We have an excellent roadmap to a course of government which has been so corrupted by people seeking to serve themselves that it thoroughly disgusts me. JMO

I hear yu... I wish someone had the guts to place an ad to that effect.

It will be interesting to see if people can rip themselves away from their partisan stripes long enough to see the value in voting out the incumbants...en masse.

Well, I'm all about revolution, in whatever form it takes.

The funny thing is, I'd hazard a guess that 90% of individuals are not too far off each other in their beliefs and values. But, it's politicians who want to keep the political parties intact, it's only to THEIR benefit to keep this country divided.

My best friend, a staunch republican, and I, an independent, when we really talk about the issues without throwing a label in, agree 99% of the time on just about everything. It's the label itself that is divisive. If we could get rid of those, I bet we're not as far apart as politicians and the media would have us believe.

True change will not come to the seats of power from the seat of the President.

It will only come if we make the seats of congress uncomfortable to sit in for anyone not in tune with the reality of our system of government.

WE the PEOPLE.

Voting out every incumbant would break this partyline stranglehold on the nation. It just might bring common sense back to govt.

that's what I'm talking about...

We have voting machines here. At least as of last election there is no place or method to write in a name.

No I say REMOVE them from office... (while we still have that right)... Remove them now... Remove them in mass... and do not allow them back in. EVER.

Aye and then what...

The vote gets listed under OTHER? Anyone out there know a candidate named OTHER?

We been packaged and delivered... voices raised where simply ignored by most and riducled by others.

Before long I expect to see a bill makeing it harder to institute empeachment proceedings. Within the year I would imagine.

It shall be hereby agreed by the taxpayer who's signature is affixed upon this decree that...

* Any United States Senator that supports the Paulson Plan or its currant derivitave known as the Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008. Shall immediatly be considered on notice of Empeachment Proceedings pursuant to the Laws of the Citizens of the United States.

(Place signature here)

This has made a small difference in the house. Time to get some action in the Senate.

We have only a few hours before this bill hits the Senate if it is approved by the house.

Copy and send it everywhere if you believe this will state the way you feel. To borrow from our President. This must be done quickly.

I believe the future of the free world depends upon it.

The house might pass this in the next few hours... What an outrage that would be. There are other alternatives.
