http://mulder.dummwiedeutsch.de/home/?page=projects choose mplayer for windows and voila. If you have quicktime and itunes installed quicktime will play them also.

Pretty much all media players play .mp4 file formats!

If you are on the windows platform you could also install A codec application called ffdshow it is basically almost every audio/video codec built into one small package then you can play the audio/video through any direct show media player like windows media player and etc.

Why not try VLC player. It also plays most video formats, including .flv! Hope this helps. It's really very good and reliable, I even use it on my mac. Good luck. Many proggies do what you want. Geebo Geek.
