I'm loving the weather here in Austin, but what happened to all the friendly people here? This city's become way too clique-y, and that's LAME. If I walk up to someone to say "Hi", the least a person could do is nothing....but that makes said person a turd. Introduce yourself to more people, you might just find the right one. Or the right one to drink beer and tell bad jokes with ; )~

Well, my favorite holiday is coming up (Friday!), and I don't have to work. I also don't have any friends who've invited me out for festivities, and I'm at a loss for a costume. I might just sit on the porch and rob teenagers of their loot. It might sound bad, but you oughta meet the teens in my neighborhood.explode
In any case, Austinites, what are YOU doing for Hallowe'en?drinker

I'm looking for a new apartment here in ATX. Let me know if y'all have any buddies who have a room to rent, or who maybe know a good three bedroom for a friend and I to share. Looking to move in late January or February. Thanks!

Austin is recession proof and drawing a lot of people from out of town, because of this the city is overrun with a ton of people trying really hard to "fit in", not understanding that this place has always been about not fitting in and just going with the flow. Before all this madness South Congress was not "SoCo" and traffic was easier to deal with, and there were weren't Walgreen's, CVS, and a condo complex exploding on every corner. Just focus on the good and block out the bad and you'll be just fine, it really is a neat place to live with tons of stuff to do, and before too long all the people screwing it up for everyone else will grow tired of it and jump ship to the next trendy town anyway lol
