But, hey, everyone is entitled to their opinion.....however unrealistic
or sheltered it may be. Kerry.....you have no idea that you simply
re-phrased two of my afore mentioned points. At any rate, only time will
tell. It is all speculation......unless one of you is actually GOD
posing as a JSH lonely heart...........

Lily, some say that God exists everywhere - who knows where you'll find
it? flowerforyou

At any rate, I love discussion and believe free discussion helps us get
to know each other. As you said 'to each his own'. True, but if we
can't voice it without worry of offending, than we have learned nothing.

I would like to understand you better so please do not end this yet.
Your first reply said we both totally missed the point,
I'm sorry I missed your point, but your next post indicated we both
simply paraphrased what you were saying. If your point was missed, it's
usually good to try to rephrase it, maybe those you are addressing need
to adjust their thinking to be on the same level with you. There's not
much good in duscussion if we can't get to the same level and I'm
certainly confused where you are coming from. As I said your next post
said we paraphrased, but then you say 'to each his own'. This says we
were in agreement with you, but the next sentance takes a position more
like defense. Please defend your position, it is always worth
discussion and explanation. We all have lots to learn from each other.

I stated KERRY paraphrased me.....NOT implying either of you was
agreeing with me. I think it is obvious we have somewhat opposing views,
that being the point behind my reference "to each his own". Think what
YOU like, I'LL think what I like. I don't see any reason to defend
statements. I have my feelings on the subject and have personal
validation for my theories. I am not affraid to face THE END, whatever
that may be.

Ok Lily, I think I see your point. You were simply stating your belief
because the question was asked and it was not in your mind to discuss
your opinoin, it was simply given. I see. That is the nature of a
"post" system versus an "on-line chat system". It allows us a voice, an
opinion without ever having to actually fall into discussion. Makes
your point valid, "To each his own".
Thanks for not backing away from your stand. Makes perfect sense when
trying to understand why so many posts degrade from a discusssion to the
one line bar scene's. But your opinion has value non-the-less and I
will read these as I read any in the topics I find interesting.

For what it's worth, I just don't think we can predict when the end of
days are. Yes, God told us there would be signs, but God has a different
concept of time than humans do. The "signs" could last thousands of
years, or happen in rapid succession like gunfire in only a few days or
hours. Basically, whether these are the end times or the end times are
still many thousands of years away, I don't think we will ever truly
know. People have been predicting the end of the world for as long as
there have been people.

We can say that corruption is worse now, that the Earth is changing due
to our environmental factors...but even these things are rather
subjective. There is even contraversy on whether or not global warming
is a real phenomenon. Concerning corruption...I don't believe society is
any more corrupt than it has been in the past. All it takes is a look
through history books and you'll see that human beings haven't really
changed much over the centuries. The only thing that has changed is our
technology, and we never quite know where that will lead us in the
future.

Point being, I just think that when the end comes it will be a surprise,
therefore those of us that do believe in heaven and hell should be
constantly vigilant and prepared, for it will come "like a thief in the
night".
