Nope. Trust isnt important to a relationship - at all. Neither is
honesty, communication or any of that "warm-n-fuzzy" stuff. Why? Without
any of that stuff you dont have a relationship. How about "the bare
minimum to human co-existance requires trust, communication etc"

Well actually trust and honesty plays a big role in everyday life
itself. But it takes and open mind and communication and the ability to
be able to forgive others also in a relantionship. And to know and
realize that no one is perfect in life and to know each person even as a
couple requires there time to themselves also. bigsmile

i agree with Mike
however, to co-existance is a relationship
we have different types of relationships

every relationship

Trust is EARNED!! Mistrust is EARNED. You START off a relationship with
neither suspicion nor trust, or mistrust. You do not KNOW the person.
When you begin to REALIZE that the person is sneaky and dodgey by
stumbling on the info, while they're saying: "Can't you trust me?". Then
you KNOW that person CANNOT be trusted. THEY HAVE EARNED THEIR MISTRUST.
When even that SAME person, has changed to telling you WHERE they're
going and WHERE they came from and REFUSING to go to parties unless you
accompany them (unless it's official and can;t be avoided)then that
person has now EARNED your trust. Saying that a man must approve of his
wife going to whole night parties etc as TRUST IS BS. Too many sermons
have been preached on how to avoid growing apart. They profusely use the
example of Adam allowing Eve to wander and get tempted while he was not
around. TRUST? Trust is earned.
