Well, there are some funny things about it all, too. Like, when I got my ears pierced, I probably received 200 pairs of earrings from junk to ridiculous to quality.
And, when my Mom mentioned she liked cardinals, we still call that that "Year of the Cardinal" as every freakin' thing she got that year was cardinal-themed.
And, yearly, we would vote on the best "Target Practice Award".
And, my sister bought a pair of espadrilles, so don't you know, year after year, my mother kept buying her more espadrilles!!!
And, I love my kitties, so people would buy me the most ridiculous gifts, like salt and pepper shakers that meowed when you shook them, or a clock and photos of OTHER PEOPLE'S CATS!!! I had to explain it would be like putting up strangers' kids pictures on my walls!!!

BOYCOTTING the holidays this year, and it is widely known among those who care ... wow, what a relief that is (words truly cannot describe) !!

the only gifts i am giving is to

- myself; i am accept the gift of gratitude, that i am able to continue to help pay for my daughter's education, and
- my daughter; i am writing her a song

What I want for Christmas this year
Well since my house burnt down in April
I need just about everything!!
Most of all would like the damn insurance company to settle already.
More than most, want my girls to have a wonder Christmas.
They deserve it with the year they have had.
