I'm always looking for more of these type of films that seem to "push the envelope".

Here is a list that I have seen and enjoyed.

Lars Von Triers (Dogville and Manderlay)
Dead Ringers
Boxing Helena
Requiem For A Dream
Christiane F (also about herion addiction)
The Heart Is Deceitful Above All Things (VERY messed up film)
Scrapbook
Julien Donkey Boy
Bad Boy Bubby
21 Grams
Love Is A *****
Addio zio Tom (Goodbye Uncle Tom)
Edmond
Feed
Firecracker
Freeway
Todd Solondz's masterpieces (Welcome To The Dollhouse, Happiness, Storytelling, Palindromes)
The King
Mean Creek
Neil Labute's (In The Company of Men and The Shape Of Things)
In My Skin (another French film)
Descent (the one with Rosario Dawson, not the horror film)
Jan Svankmajer's (Alice, Little Otik, Conspirators Of Pleasure, and Lunacy)
Tideland
A Zed & Two Noughts

You are most welcome. I actually saw this in NYC in the theater.... it is fantasically disturbing. Let me know how you like it.

try kids or PIE
kids is about kids having sex and geting aids and doing drugs and pie is about a guy that goes crazy playing the stalk market

What is the stalk market?

Oh, OP, I saw Deception this weekend... it is a bit mainstream but well done, I thought.

HAHA! I actually own Pi and Kids. Kids was pretty messed up, I agree. Pi...weird, but not really disturbing. Good film though.

Saw Frontieres recently. Pretty weird. Not bad.

Deception is one that I keep passing by at the video store. I'll give it a second look.

Thanks everyone!

Naked Lunch was a book first, and goes without saying the film version would most likely SUCK. I'd read the book instead, I did and rather enjoyed it.

My brother owns the book and the movie and enjoys both. I don't know anything about the book, but the movie was very disturbing and bizarre.

So was Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.... and it SUCKED. It blew chunks of projectile vomit...

The book was great.

Dune book != Dune movie

Both were good in my opinion.

Sometimes the director has to take artistic license with the material. Maybe you wouldn't like Naked Lunch the movie, but that doesn't mean it is SUCKS. Maybe it's GOOD or maybe it's OKAY. Personally, I didn't LIKE it. But it is still my brother's favorite movie and book, so I guess some people who have read the book and watched the movie like both.
