All I know is that I need to have more debt. I know that if my little store started having "financial trouble" the Fed wouldn't come in and bail my a$$ out. Why should we have to pay to bail these idiots out. They've shown that they don't know how to run a business, why should we bail them out?
We shouldn't have bailed out the airlines, we shouldn't have bailed out the banks and lending houses, and we shouldn't bail out the auto industry. You know who should bail out the auto industry? The oil industries. They have all the effin money. Besides, it was the auto industries "allegiance" to the oil companies, for making cheap gas, that got them into this mess. If gas was still 90 cents a gallon like in 2000, we wouldn't care how much gas it took to run our autos. We're Americans, we're like that. |

What people fail to realize is the Auto companies in the late 80s early 90s changed the way they did business. It started farming out its production to smaller less paying factories. Parts on demand...Parts from all over in all makes of cars.American made huh, it has japanese parts in it, as do the japanese cars have American parts. These smaller factories thrived then and larger ones were closed. The Auto industries affect a lot more than just the manufacturers..

We might be able to get a good deal on a vehicle!
![]() Maybe if they pay more taxes, they will think better about gouging the customer. Lower prices, lower taxes. Lower profits, lower taxes. My version of the trickle down effect. ![]() ![]() |

What about taking the trucks and retooling them for Natural gas and the infrastructure to support it over time. It would be easy using refuelers on wheels. Ween in the car later as the infrastructure accepts it.. Create jobs and end our dependence on foreign oil. With the savings alone on the trucks think where we would be at. The "Pickens Plan" parts of it are starting to make more sence now.

I will volunteer to let him put a mill in my back yard in exchange for electricity! And, my family owns 36 acres sitting right smack dab in the middle of a pool of natural gas. Oooh, la, la! ![]() |

One thing that really gets me is Drill Baby Drill or dilling of the coast of Florida that survives on its beaches and tourism. Do you think that oil is just going to be pumped to our refineries and all that savings is going to be past on to us. NO....Its a world supply. That would amount to no more savings than OPEC increasing out put...We cant drill our way out!! We have a very limited supply anyway.
