It doesn't seem to matter how long I look at a thread, it never updates it's self until I leave the page. Is this how it works or am I missing a setting somewhere

yeah, they don't refresh themselves. You have to either refresh or reload or leave and come back

i either click on 50 and over at the top of the page or click on my topics and it updates.
