the person has to be online, n when you go to his/her profile, choose Instant Message

and some people have their instant messaging turned off so then they wnt have a im button on their profile if that is the case.... in that case u would have to use the email fearure...

I find the instant messenger takes forever to load up so e-mail is your best bet...lol

The load times on IM vary with the user's computer - some people experience a very fast load of IM. (People have discussed possible causes elsewhere in the threads.)

u need to have your ims on kila... yours are off... go to your account tab on your main page.. then to settings... tab is in blue area strip atop of the page.. then a list will pop up and turn your ims, or instant messenger on...

Mic? This site supports VOIP now? ARedRose, unless they've changed something recently, I don't think you can 'talk' to someone via JSH using a mic. I know the IM software seems to imply otherwise, but thats because JSH has some kind of contract with someone else to provide the IM, its not 100% tailored to this site. Hopefully someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but IM is for text chatting only.
