I think mine is John 3:16 For god so love the world that he gave his only begotten son ,that who shall ever believe in him shall not perish but have everlasting Life.I think why I like that verse so much is because what jesus give up and went threw on the cross so that we could be free from our sins.I mean you else would go threw that much pain just to let us be free. That only ,he should be prised. (sorry for miselling of words)

This was the first scripture that God spoke to my heart...

Jeremiah 29:11 (New King James Version)
11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope

It's my special one because it was my first one.

Matthew 7:1

“Judge not, that ye be not judged.”

A more elaborate quote would be from Matthew 7:12

“Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.”

This has always spoken out to me because so many people take it upon themselves to judge other people by their gender, race, religion, political stance, and etc. This phrase has carried on one of my main beliefs that one should not even judge someone's character by a single action. Someone's action may be good-natured or evil-natured, but you can not judge someone based off that one gesture.

Great quotes so far!

John 8:7 So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.

Sticks and stones can hurt me as they can hurt others. People in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. Really doesn't even matter if it isn't a glass house. Lord forgive me a sinner. Just because I believe in you doesn't mean I am any less human. My recovery and my salvation depends on your grace.

John 21

15 - When they had finished eating, Jesus said to Simon Peter, "Simon son of John, do you truly love Me more than these?" "Yes, Lord," he said, "You know that I love You." Jesus said, "Feed My lambs."

16 - Again Jesus said, "Simon son of John, do you truly love Me?" He answered, "Yes, Lord, You know that I love You." Jesus said, "Take care of My sheep."

17 - The third time He said to him, "Simon son of John, do you love Me?" Peter was hurt because Jesus asked him the third time, "Do you love Me?" He said, "Lord, you know all things; You know that I love You." Jesus said, "Feed My sheep.

Mathew 6:25 onwards.. KJV

"25 Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? 26 Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? 27 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? 28 And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: 29 And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? 31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? 32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. 33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you."

This is also found in Luke 12.

This is one of my favorite verses because the Lord has shown me how He provides and meets all our needs.

Another one is

from ps 46
"Be still and know that I am God"

We surrender in order to know that God is in control, Ribbono Shel Olam, Master of the Universe. When we give up relying on our own abilities, we are then able to experience God's all-sufficiency, Ex. 14.14.

There are scriptures rich with the purpose in dying to oneself. It's to glorify God who gives grace to the humble in heart. The flesh (the old man, corrupt & mortal) will always war against the spirit (incorrupt & immortal), but in His spirit dwelling in us the the greatest glory of God revealed.

Gal 2 16 knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but by faith in Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law; for by the works of the law no flesh shall be justified.

17 “But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners, is Christ therefore a minister of sin? Certainly not!

18 For if I build again those things which I destroyed, I make myself a transgressor.

19 For I through the law died to the law that I might live to God.

Gal. ch 3 13 Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”[h]),

14 that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

19 What purpose then does the law serve? It was added because of transgressions, till the Seed should come to whom the promise was made; and it was appointed through angels by the hand of a mediator.

20 I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.

21 I do not set aside the grace of God; for if righteousness comes through the law, then Christ died in vain.”

I Corinthians 10:13

There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

I like it, reminds one that no matter how bad you think things are that all life problems and temptations are common to all .

These are not my favorite verses per se, but
they seem appropriate just lately.

"Will I dress in such a way so as to bring glory to God, or will I dress in a way that will be pleasant to me?"

The Bible teaches that one should glorify God in the body. In 1 Corinthians 6:20 we read, "For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s." The principle is to bring glory to God through the use of one's body and not to bring glory to self. There is a way to dress so as to glorify one's self instead of giving glory to God. Christians, both male and female, should not dress in such a fashion.

James 1:13 (King James Version)

13 Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:

Hey (( Britty )) forgot about James, the book of instruction, written to the scattered tribes.

1:13 Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:

1:14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust(desires), and enticed.
